THE RED & BLACK BELLISSIMA SEMI-PLAID SKIRT

THE BELLISSIMA SKIRT 

 In this 2021 post, you can see two ways to style this black and red skirt. Both of the outfits you'll see if you follow the link,  feature this semi-plaid skirt from a local designer brand Bellissima (link neither sponsored nor affiliated). In case you want to buy clothing that is made in Bosnia and Herzegovina, this is a good local brand to check out and you can order both online or find it in local malls. I love to support local artists and designers when I can. My outfits in this post showed two different ways to wear this skirt. I wore the first styling for a long walk around the city and the second one for a lunch date with my husband. Once again I shopped my closet. I browsed my archives to find 33 posts focused on faux leather necklaces (that I often wear as head pieces or belts as well). I could have probably found a few more, but I felt 33 posts is enough. For those of you who want to have a better idea of what these DIY faux leather necklaces look like, 33 posts will be introduction enough. I still have most of these necklaces. This statement necklaces has been featured in two outfits so far, both of them if I recall well, quite casual. Therefore, I have decided to wear this creation of mine with a more dressed up outfit. When it comes to clothes, it usually feels good to mix old with the new. The new item in this outfit would be these heavenly comfortable Peko boots. Unrelated to clothes or shoes, there is something else that is new and that would be my haircut. Did you take notice? What do you think about it?

Nosila sam ovu upečatljivu ogrlicu u dvije odjevne kombinacija, obje dosta ležerne ako se dobro sjećam, pa sam odlučila ovu svoju kreaciju nositi s malo dotjeranijim ruhom. Kada je odjeća u pitanju, obično je dobro pomiješati staro i novo. Nove su u ovoj odjevnoj kombinaciji ove božasntveno udobne čizme, ali nevezano uz odjeću i obuću još je nešto novo, a to je nova frizura. Jeste li primjetili promjenu? Što vam se čini od nove frizure?

      super je bundica, godinama je čamila u maminom ormaru, a onda sam je pronašla kad sam tražila što obući preko maturalne haljine...zatim je čamila još dugo, dugo godina sve dok nije Split i Mostar bio zatrpan snijegom...od tada smo nerazdvojne:)

      većinom me slika muž kada odemo na neki mali izlet ili u šetnju, a u okolici Mostara ima stvarno lijepih mjesta, tako da i nije neki problem. Nekad i vrijeme igra veliku ulogu, zanimljivo kako fotografije ispadnu puno toplije kada je oblačno i uvjetno rečeno ružno vrijeme.

What kind of a review is a blue review? Well, as the colour would suggest, somewhat of  a  melancholic and sad one.  I would say appropriate for Tigana is somewhat of a sad and serene story. THE ISLAND OF THE MISSING TREES BY ELIF SHAFAK (BOOK REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATION)

Today I shall review The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak. I was actually gifted this book. What a wonderful present it proved to be! Published in 2021, this postmodern  novel  follows two  story lines and uses framed narration.  The Island of Missing Trees  tells the life story of a Greek Turkish couple and their adolescent daughter.  This novel examines and explores a number of topics such as identity, migration, immigrant life, war trauma, memory, love and family. It's an ambitious novel that examines serious topics with due respect and sensitivity . I read it months ago, but I remember it vividly. Honestly, I cried a lot while reading this novel. It really moved me greatly. In fact, that is probably why it took me this long to finish this book review. With summer being in full spring, I caught myself thinking about iconic summer outfits. Do you know what came to my mind? Costumes/outfits worn by Monica Belluci when she played Malena Scordia in an iconic Italian movie set on Sicily.  The costumes for that movie were designed by an acclaimed Italian costume designer Maurizio Millenotti and he outdone himself! Seeing that Malena is a historical movie, Maurizio choose quite timeless outfits and cuts that will ever go out of style. That fact makes Malena movie the perfect place to look for inspiration! Moreover, I feel that Monica Belluci's personal style is quite similar to Malena's (i.e. to the style of the character she is playing).
