HOW TO STYLE A DENIM SKIRT FOR EARLY SPRING? OUTFIT PROPOSAL

Today I'm back with another outfit proposal. This time I'm going to show you how you can style a denim skirt for early spring. A denim skirt is a great classic, and it can be a lovely alternative to jeans. I already wrote down a few tips for styling dresses and skirts in early spring, you know for this period when it may not that warm. I recommended styling dresses and skirts with blazers paired with tights and boots. As you can see, I'm keeping to my advice. I paired my denim skirt with tights and biker boots. I also wore a pink turtleneck sweater and white vintage blazer. Lighter colours are a good way to invite spring. To finish the outfit, I opted for some straw accessories, that is, an oversize straw hat and a straw bag. I love to wear straw accessories to make my outfits look more spring time appropriate. Plus, I found that straw hats do really help with the whole protection against the sun thing. I love the sun as much as the next outdoorsy person, but I won't risk a sun stroke.

The location where these photographs were taken is Buna river. Readers of my blog will know how much I love this area. It's the perfect place for an escape from an urban jungle. Isn't this river absolutely beautiful? I think I already mentioned this on my blog, but with years I've learned to appreciate river magic more. I will always be a sea lover, but there is something quite magical about rivers as well. Don't you find it so? Spending time by rivers and creeks is so relaxing. Check out this post to see more of this area in spring time.

After strolling around for a bit, we went and enjoyed some cakes at restaurant/motel Kolo (not sponosored). The cakes were lovely as always. I always order the same one, it's a local cake made from figs and it's called 'smokvara'. You can see more of this restaurant here and here. I do write about this place a lot, so I don't want to repeat myself too much. It really is a divine area, and very close to where I'm based right now (and that would be) Mostar city, so I do visit a lot. What that translates to for you my readers is that you can expect even more posts from this place.

That would be all for today. Have a lovely day and thank you for reading and visiting!

  1. This is a fun look! Denim skirts are a wardrobe staple that go with so many pieces. This is a beautiful site to relax at. The fig cake sounds yummy. We are attempting to grow figs and have 2 trees that look really healthy. It may not be until next year that it fruits though. Fingers crossed!

  9. I love wearing skirts in spring and fall because I find the styling options are so versatile and endless. A particular favorite way of mine which I see you are wearing here is pairing it with a sweater and light jacket. It's perfect to keep you warm and cozy as the temperature starts to creep up. I think a denim jacket can make for a nice full denim look if you pair it with a jean jacket or denim, button-up top :)

  12. One of the reasons I love a denim skirt so much, is you can wear it with tights and it doesn't stick to them.
You look fabulous in this Ivana. I just adore that hat.
