If you want to experience a winter fairy tale in Bosnia and Herzegovina, head for the mountains. Surrounded by a pine forest, and located only a short drive from Mostar city, mountain hotel Snježna kuća (literally translated snow house) is a great option. Climate in Herzegovina is quite warm and the winters are mild (i.e. quite snow-less), but there is always some snow in those really high mountains, so when it comes to a winter vibe, that's the place to go. I felt like seeing snow with my own eyes, so when we drove to Bijelo Polje with an intention of strolling around, I decided to drive forward all the way to this Prenj and to pay this lovely hotel a visit (after all it is only a twenty minute drive).
