Another necklace I made (outfit post)/ Još jedna oglica koju sam napravila (odjevna kombinacija)

This outfit feels so right for me. It's all vintage, with the exception of accessories. However, the accessories themselves are mostly DIY and that makes it even more me. I wanted a new pair of sunglasses but as I'm somewhat financially challenged at the moment, I just painted my old sunglasses with pink nail polish. The pink DIY hair pin you already saw in previous posts....and what kind of outfit post would be without another DIY necklace of mine?

All these photographs were taken last Thursday in a little Herzegovian village Medugorje that is visited by millions of people annually. This time there were many Italian groups and they seemed to have been celebrating something....or maybe they were  just in a good mood. In my next post, I'm taking you once again in the most featured (on my blog) ethno village (still under construction).

clothes: all vintage, heels: Peko, necklace: DIY, scarf: avon

very happy Italians in the background (I'm not sure what was the occasion but they seemed very enthusiastic about something)

    1. The long mesh (cardi, coat, sweater- I'm not sure what to call it myself) is vintage, I got it from a relative...I think I would grab it myself if I saw it in a shop but I was fortunate to get it for nothing!

This is a small village, not a city...but it is often so crowded it feels like a city.

  15. I really like your idea to paint your old sunnies, because it's great and what's the most important - it doesn't require any money, because I'm sure that every girl has at least one nail polish ;) Moreover, this city looks beautiful, dear :)

  32. I can tell you love this outfit - and it shows. You look fantastic. DIY has the same effect on me too. And I really love how you painted your sunglasses with nail polish. I have been thinking of doing this to some glasses I don't wear much and you have provided me with great motivation. Somehow changing glasses around has felt taboo. Time to change that!

TWO WAYS TO STYLE A SCARF (SUSTAINABLE FASHION FILES)

Today I'll show you two ways to style a scarf: one is by wrapping it around your headband and the other by using it as a belt for your dress.  I'm also going to link up old posts with more ideas for styling this scarf, offering you about a dozen ideas. The first idea is a common one. Wearing a belt around your dress is an easy way to accentuate your waist. The other outfit proposal shows a fresh styling trick: wearing your scarf wrapped around your headband. Yes, you read that right. This is actually such an easy way to make the most out of your headband(s). I own only one headband but by wrapping different scarves around it, it seems like I have a dozen of them.  As for the two outfits I'm going to show to you, they are both summer ones. The colour palette for these looks is pretty neutral, but I jazzed it up by choosing printed white items. I do like the freshness that the white colour offers, but as a lover of prints I tend to compromise by opting for printed white ite…

SUMMER TO AUTUMN OUTFITS FEATURING A VINTAGE BLACK MAXI DRESS

Today I'll show you seven ways  to wear a black maxi dress. This beautiful vintage dress was gifted to me by a family member. I don't own many solid black maxi dresses (probably because I'm addicted to bold prints and colours). I do own quite a few little black dress (because a LBD is such a classical piece) but not that many black ones in maxi length. In fact, I believe this is the only plain black maxi dress I own. I find it really easy to style. I treat this maxi as a neutral piece and I wear it all year round. I actually added embroidery to it (it's a hobby of mine) but the embroidery detail isn't that big (for now) so I tend to style it as a plain black dress. By that I mean that I like to have fun with accessories when I wear this dress. I often wear it with statement necklaces I made myself or similar eye-catching accessories. Anyhow, I figured that with the summer to autumn transitioning that is going on right now, it would make sense to show you some tran…

SUMMER ISN'T OVER YET IN SPLIT CITY (CROATIA)

Summer isn't over yet. Not in Split city. The temperatures are still high and the sun is shining. Let me take you around and show you what this beautiful Croatian coastal city has to offer. If you're planning on visiting Croatia, right now is the perfect time to get that summer feel. I love exploring Split city on foot ( I already explained why it is a good idea to explore Split on foot in this post).  You know, I was always aware that Split is a  truly unique place, even when it wasn't as popular as it is today. I used to walk everywhere when I lived here! I'm a big believer in getting to know a city on foot. You can never know a town until you explore its every corner on foot. I have more posts about Split scheduled and many more stories to tell. Some places we carry in our hearths, and our proximity to them is of little importance. I'm fortunate to have been able to make the most of my time spent in Split. My visits to Split have been short but sweet. I don'…
