TWO WAYS TO STYLE A SCARF (SUSTAINABLE FASHION FILES)

Today I'll show you two ways to style a scarf: one is by wrapping it around your headband and the other by using it as a belt for your dress.  I'm also going to link up old posts with more ideas for styling this scarf, offering you about a dozen ideas. The first idea is a common one. Wearing a belt around your dress is an easy way to accentuate your waist. The other outfit proposal shows a fresh styling trick: wearing your scarf wrapped around your headband. Yes, you read that right. This is actually such an easy way to make the most out of your headband(s). I own only one headband but by wrapping different scarves around it, it seems like I have a dozen of them.  As for the two outfits I'm going to show to you, they are both summer ones. The colour palette for these looks is pretty neutral, but I jazzed it up by choosing printed white items. I do like the freshness that the white colour offers, but as a lover of prints I tend to compromise by opting for printed white items. I have worn both of these outfits recently. You can still wear them if your autumn proves to be a warm one. If it's cold where you're from, you can turn these outfit proposals into autumn ones by adding a blazer.

You know I'm all about making the most of my closet. I bought this scarf last year. I have a lot of second hand and vintage scarves, but this one I bought new. I made up for that by wearing it a lot. Generally speaking, I wear scarves a lot and I have already wrote about that on this little place of mine. READ ABOUT FOUR WAYS TO WEAR A SCARF

MORE WAYS TO STYLE THIS SCARF
1. TIE IT AROUND YOUR HAT ( Here, here and here you can see how I styled it around my straw hat. I calculated that I wore it this way on at least a dozen occasions in the past few months).
2. TIE IT AROUND YOUR HAIR (Here  and here you can see how I wore it to secure my ponytail. If you ask me this is the perfect way to make your ponytail more chic).
3. BELT YOUR SKIRT WITH IT(Here you can see how I wore it as a belt for a denim skirt)
4. TIE IT AROUND YOUR NECK  ( Here you can see how I tied it around my neck for a business look. Moreover, here and here you can see a more chic version of wearing this scarf).

THE STORY OF AN OUTFIT: WHITE CHERRY PRINT DRESS BELTED WITH A SCARF
I felt really comfortable in this dress. A-line dress are the best! I wore this outfit last Sunday with a black bag and kitten heels. It proved to be a good Sunday look. You can see how I styled this A- line cherry print dress  here, here, here and here. You can see how I styled these kitten heels here and here. The bag I already wore in one of my recent outfit post (it's new but a gift, I didn't buy it myself). It comes with a smaller bag inside, so it can be worn in two ways.
I feel a bit sad about putting these beautiful kitten heels away. Maybe I should keep them and wear them with tights and socks for autumn and winter. I love to wear heels with tights and socks, so maybe I should try to do it with these kitten heeled sandals as well. What do you think?
I do love how warm and sunny Mediterranean climate is. Herzegovina is such a sunny place, Mostar city especially so. We bask in sunshine and appreciate the fact that autumns often feel like summer. Sometimes it feels a bit too warm, especially when you need to spend a day in an office and you're rather be on a beach somewhere, but I'm always aware of its many benefits.
THE STORY OF AN OUTFIT: SCARF HEADBAND, RUFFLED TUNICS, BOROMINA SANDALS AND CAPRI JEANS
I'm going to show you why it is a great idea to wrap a scarf around your headband. It will not only give your headband a fresh look, it is also a more hygienic option. I know that not everyone washes their headbands (they should because human hair contains natural oils). It is easier to wash a scarf than a headband so there you go. You can just wrap different materials around the headband(s) you have and you will end up with endless unique and beautiful headbands. Headbands have been trendy for a while, so if you want to jump on the trend keep in the mind that you don't actually have to buy multiple ones. It seems a more sustainable thing to do, doesn't it?
I wore this outfit not too long ago for a visit to beautiful Buna river (I really can't get enough of that place and you know it's so close to Mostar). Anyhow, this was such a fun and comfy outfit to wear. The water looked so inviting that I couldn't resist taking my sandals off and going to explore the river a bit. I ended up finding a place to sit in a middle of a river. I felt like a mermaid resting. Buna river is so enchantingly beautiful, I really felt like I have woken up in a fairy-tale. A few more words about my outfit. I decided to tuck this off shoulder tunics in my Amadeus pair of capri jeans. I've actually wrote about this tunics recently, here you can read about 8 WAYS TO STYLE A RUFFLED TUNICS! You can see how I styled these capri jeans in the past here.

As always. thank you for reading and visiting!

  13. Thank you for your tips on how to style a scarf, Ivana. Apart from wearing them around my neck, I sometimes wear a scarf tied around one of my plain summer hats. With my short hair, I hardly ever wear a scarf as a head band, but I have never thought of wearing one as a belt. That last tip offers so many possibilities, as I wear belts on an almost daily basis. I'll definitely be trying that one out. I'm seriously loving your cute, cherry print, dress by the way! Hope you'll have a great week! xxx

  14. I really love those patterned outfits of yours, both the top and the dress are just wonderful. My friend recently showed me how to wrap a scarf into turban with a crown and I just loved the look, I think it can be perfect for the summertime by the beach <3
