MY SUMMER STYLE ESSENTIALS IN ONE OUTFIT

What makes today's outfit proposal so fun is that it features many of my summer style essentials. As far as temperatures are concerned, summer has definitely arrived to Mostar and that means it's time to think about my summer style essentials. I've already started wearing summer outfits. This stripes on stripes look I'm sharing with you today is a good example of my typical summer styling. At every change of season, I think it makes sense to take some time to consider what we will be wearing in the next few months. You know, it really doesn't hurt to take a few minutes to think about what we want and need. This might save us time in the future (and we all seem to crave  more free time in summer).  Summer themed social media posts are everywhere and I love it! However, while it certainly doesn't hurt to look for inspiration in figuring out what our summer style should look like, it is also important to consider our habits and personal style.

A VISIT TO MOUNTAIN CHURCH OF SAINT ELIAS IN NATURE PARK BLIDINJE (MASNA LUKA)

I blogged about nature park Blidinje  a couple of times already, but I haven't told you who came to the idea of protecting this incredible area in the first place! It was back in 1993 that friar Petar Krasić set to the important work of turning this mountain area into a national park. Thanks to his efforts, in 1995 (only a few years later) Blidinje became a nature park that spans over three municipalities and 364 square kilometers. Today I'll show you where this friar dwells, in a house next to the mountain church of Saint Elias. Located at 1204 meters of altitude and surrounded by breath-taking nature, this mountain church is quite something. I've been meaning to write about this beautiful church of saint Elias the Prophet for ages, but something always got into way. I love mountain churches, they are so romantic. This one especially so!  Church of Saint Elias the Prophet is like an oasis in a deep forest.
This wonderfully isolated church of St. Elias in Masna Luka is s…

WHAT TO WEAR TO A SUMMER WEDDING? A METALLIC DRESS OUTFIT PROPOSAL

Today I'm back with a wedding guest outfit idea. Summer hasn't officially started yet, but it sure feels like it has. If you're wondering about what to wear to a summer wedding, I'll give you some ideas. Let's start with an outfit I wore to a wedding party last Friday. As I already explained yesterday, I opted for a metallic dress. You already saw me wear this metallic wrap dress in a casual way, now you can see me wear it in a formal way. There is nothing easier than dressing up a metallic dress, just grab a clutch and a pair of heels and you're ready to go. Metallic and sequin dresses are a great choice for weddings, especially those of formal kinds. In Herzegovina, weddings are typically quite formal affairs. You're expected to get all dolled up, it would be a total faux pas to show up wearing anything resembling a casual outfit. Typically, the weddings parties in Mostar are more expensive, glamorous, luxurious and elaborate than your typical wedding p…

KATE KASIN LONG SEQUIN DRESS (REVIEW AND STYLING TIPS)

Hi everyone! Who else loves sequined dresses? If you're into the metallic dress trend, you might find this post interesting. As the title indicates, today I'll be reviewing a gold Kate Kasin sequined maxi dress. I'm also going to give you some tips on rocking sequined dresses. Firstly, it is good to remember there is a metallic shade for every skin tone and undertone. The same rules we use for choosing the right jewellery for our skin tone can be applied to sequined and metallic items as well. Generally speaking, silver items are recommended for colder skin undertones and gold items for warmer ones. However, there are exceptions. Not all gold tones are the same. For example, rose gold is said to look particularly beautiful on fair skin ladies. This dress happens to come in different colours and shades (rose gold, gold, black, red, silver, navy blue and turquoise). Being olive skinned and warm toned myself, I opted for a gold version of this dress. What do you think? Does …
