Frozen Lake (painting of the day) / Zamrznuto jezero (slika dana)

Here is one of the reproductions I painted as a part of that art course I took last month. It depicts a frozen lake. The background is dominated by the mountains and the clouds. I do like the composition of this painting. I'm glad I chose to paint this one. Painting the forest was an interesting task. I think that it is supposed to be a painting of a landscape in late Autumn. The lake is frozen, but the leaves on trees are golden and red.  I spent a lot of time on these clouds (you can see the progress on Insta account here and here )  and in the end, I'm not quite satisfied with how they have turned out but well. The medium is oil on canvas. I love oil paints, but you already know that. The painting hangs on the wall in my home at the moment. I don't plan to frame it. I'm not sure what I will do it. Perhaps give it to somebody? I think it would make for a nice gift. Paintings of landscapes are usually a good neutral choice. That is all for...
