Happy holidays everyone! How are you doing? Today I'll present a new painting of mine. This painting was a commission. I do accept commissions at times and I generally enjoy them. A commissioned painting is a painting ordered from an artist. There are many reasons why somebody might order a commissioned painting. It might be a present, for example a wedding present or even a present for a wedding anniversary. You might want to hire an artist to capture a place that means something to you or your significant other. Commissions are often associated with portrait art, but they can also be landscapes. You might want a landscape (or a seascape) of a place where you met your husband or wife. The story of this commissioned painting is a romantic one. When I was contacted by a young lady to paint Cape Planka, the most prominent point of land along Dalmatian coast, I didn't know the full story of why she wanted me to paint this particular place.
