Summer 2026 - Ivana's Alphabet
Hello dear readers! For the last day of Summer, I have prepared my Summer alphabet. Well, actually it took me so long to write it that I actually published it on the first day of Autumn. I know that for some of you Summer ended some time ago, but for me the end of Summer was yesterday. Apparently, there is more than one way to calculate the last day of Summer. The last day of Summer depends on whether you use an astronomical or metrological calendar. Meteorologically, Summer ends on the last day of August. The three warmest months being June, July and August. Culturally, the Summer ends on 31st August for most people. September usually means the start of the school year, and the end of Summer vacations. Astronomically, the Summer ends of the 22nd or 23rd of September. Moreover, the Mediterranean climate is a bit different that the continental one. Perhaps that is why I personally opt for the astronomical option when it comes to measuring seasons.
