braids (outfit post)/ pletenice (odjevna objava)

boots/čizme: Peko, puffer/ jakna: no name, bag/torba: vintage

Seeing these photos makes me almost regret I cut my hair. Almost. A bit of change is always good. Besides, I think it was this very photograph that got me thinking I need a haircut in the first place. My hair is still long enough for braiding, so I might wear this hairstyle again. Lately, I've been posting daily because I have a lot of previously prepared outfit posts and it makes sense to publish them before they become updated. Usually I like to mix things up a little when it comes to my blog, but according to statistics, outfits post are the most viewed posts on my blog, so I guess you (my readers) don't exactly mind. In addition, I honestly don't have the energy to prepare something else so I'll just continue posting old looks. Now, something about the outfit. For some reason, I find pointy shoes to be quite empowering. Why? Do I think they come in handy when it comes to self-defense? I hope it never comes to that, but they do make me feel action hero like. How do you like to wear your pointy shoes (or boots)? I think they look just fantastic with jeans, especially  with flare and bell bottom jeans.

  7. You have such great hair, so shiny! I've always loved braids, I'm not good at braiding myself that's why I probably keep cutting my hair short.

  9. What beautiful hair you have, long or shorter it really is a fabulous colour and so healthy and shiny. I never get tired of outfit photos. xxx
PS Your English is fantastic and please don't worry about the odd mistake, a visit from you is always welcome.

  10. Your hair looks so healthy and shiny with the sun illuminating its beauty. And I totally get what you mean about seeing your own long hair photos and wanting a cut. That happened to me too. People always do lots of things to their long hair but I don't, except maybe self-curling so hacking it off doesn't matter much to me though I would miss the long curls.

Pointy shoes reminds me a modern witch and a classy chic lady on the streets of New York/ Paris/ London... somehow.

  13. Your hair was really long and pretty but change can definitely be a good thing and it will grow back anyway. At least you can still braid it :)

  15. these boots are looking great - specially i like this little heel.

i´m sure to find a perfect combo to this boots is not very easy. cause i think they are not really "casual" - these boots are eye-catching. i would love it to wear a long skinny/tight pants over these boots - why? cause on that way, nobody would realise that these are boots. everybody would wondering what kind of shoe you wear. are this pumps? heels? or maybe booooootttttsssss??? i like this way to surprise people...;-)

on the other hand, it´s a ittle bit of wasting to hide this boot like i said above. i think the right way is to put these boots in the spotlight and show this great pair of shoes to the people - like you do on your pics.

but the hard part on this is to find the right pantyhose. on a black one, your black boots are (maybe) not good to see - cause both are black. i would prefer a bordeaux colored tights. i love this colour on tights, specially to black clothings.

    your thoughts on this?

READING UPDATE: PLAYER PIANO AND FAULT IN OUR STARS (BOOK REVIEWS)

Is anything as lovely as a sunny spring day? I missed reading outdoors, I can tell you that. Sitting on a bench on a nice spring day, with a nice book in one's lap, now that has to be one of the greatest pleasures in life. Speaking of reading, March has been a good reading month so far. As loyal I am to my favourite writers, I also love to discover new ones. I try to read at least one new author every month. This March I read two American authors for the first time: Kurt Vonnegut and John Green. Naturally I heard about them before. Both of them are quite well know, but this March marked my first introduction to these two. They are not the only 'new' writers I tried this month, but more about that some other time. Earlier this month, I read Kurt's Player Piano and Green's Fault in Our Stars. I liked Player Piano much more that Fault in Our Stars but I was kind of expecting that. I'm happy I read both, though. It is just that Kurt's writing is more my cup of…

CROATIAN DESTINATIONS: MAKARSKA CITY, THE MAIN CITY SQUARE

Hello my dear readers! Today I'm back with another post from Makarska city, a very popular coastal touristic destination in Croatia. If you remember, I went to Makarska on the first of March to visit a family member. I went back again last Friday (exactly a week ago) and the weather was dreamy. We had a great time, we sure did.  In this first photograph, you can see me standing in front of Franciscan monastery and church of Blessed Virgin. I will write a more about this monastery some other time, and today I'll show you a bit more of Makarska city itself and show some of its many attractions (like the main city square and the church of Saint Mark the Evangelist). If you haven't seen it yet, feel free to check out my recent post about Makarska. You can also check out this old Makarska travel post (dating to March, 2016). As you can see, I've been to Makarska a few times. Not nearly enough, if you ask me. It is a beautiful city and I think I even prefer it in spring sea…

JANUARY AND FEBRUARY HIGHLIGHTS

January and February have both been quite eventful months for me. A mix of good and the bad you might say, but all in all I can't complain. After ten long years I'm finally in remission, so that's amazing news. Fingers crossed things stay that way. I can't tell you how relived and happy I am to be in remission. I lost all hope of it (to tell you the truth) but then when I didn't even think about it, it happened. That's life, isn't it? You never know what the tomorrow might bring. Both good and the bad. I suppose that's the fun in living- not knowing. I know  it might seem a bit late, sharing January and February highlights as late as mid March, but I finally found some time to put this post together, so let's do it. Scroll down to see some of my January and February highlights.

TRIPS & GETAWAYS

Most of the trips I took this January were to areas located in vicinity of Mostar city (where I'm still based) but in February I visited Croatia. I&…
