Because I believe in fairy tales....//// Jer ja vjerujem u bajke....

......because I believe in fairy tales.
I believe in love.
I believe in the joy of life.
I believe in the pureness of heart and the efficiency of mind.
I believe in the strength of the soul.
I trust in friendship.
I trust in beauty.
I confide in literature.
I confide in art.
Life is art and art is life.
I'm convinced that we're the creators of our life.
Let's create our own fairy tale!

....jer ja vjerujem u bajke.
Vjerujem u ljubav.
Vjerujem u radost života.
Vjerujem u čestitost srca i efikasnost uma.
Stvorimo vlastitu bajku!

  8. Such a beautiful poem, hun! You really have a knack for poetry. :) Would love to see more of your work! Also, the illustration has to be one of the best you have ever done! I know I always say this, but it's true - you keep getting better and better at your artwork, and it never fails to amaze me! I love the enchanting, magical feel of this one, and the detailing on the cape is so immaculate and beautiful! Thanks for sharing, lovely. <3 xoxo

  14. Considering the current state of affairs in the world, I wouldn't mind escaping into a fairytale right about now :)

  15. I believe in WONDERLAND! HaHaHa It's my safe place, when the world gets hectic. Which seems to be everyday! HaHaHa

  16. Beautiful illustration and an also beautiful poem, Ivana. Thx for letting me know. Sorry for not making myself clear, I am always in a hurry, I didn't meant where you bought the paper. I wanted to know what kind of watercolor paper you used, not the brand because I know it's neither Arches nor Fabriano or any such brand and it's probably student quality, tho. but like, gram weight, cp or hp, you know. Thx in advance, Ivana.

  17. Divno Ivanice, i treba verovati u sve lepo što stvaramo i što nas okružuje :-***

  19. I love the poem. The illustration is very dramatic too! That lady believe in the fairytale!

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism. Naravno da mi puno znači što ste uzeli vrijeme da nešto napišete, pa makar to bila i kritika. Per me le vostre parole sono sempre preziose anche quando si tratta di critiche.

Is anything as lovely as a sunny spring day? I missed reading outdoors, I can tell you that. Sitting on a bench on a nice spring day, with a nice book in one's lap, now that has to be one of the greatest pleasures in life. Speaking of reading, March has been a good reading month so far. As loyal I am to my favourite writers, I also love to discover new ones. I try to read at least one new author every month. This March I read two American authors for the first time: Kurt Vonnegut and John Green. Naturally I heard about them before. Both of them are quite well know, but this March marked my first introduction to these two. They are not the only 'new' writers I tried this month, but more about that some other time. Earlier this month, I read Kurt's Player Piano and Green's Fault in Our Stars. I liked Player Piano much more that Fault in Our Stars but I was kind of expecting that. I'm happy I read both, though. It is just that Kurt's writing is more my cup of…

Hello my dear readers! Today I'm back with another post from Makarska city, a very popular coastal touristic destination in Croatia. If you remember, I went to Makarska on the first of March to visit a family member. I went back again last Friday (exactly a week ago) and the weather was dreamy. We had a great time, we sure did.  In this first photograph, you can see me standing in front of Franciscan monastery and church of Blessed Virgin. I will write a more about this monastery some other time, and today I'll show you a bit more of Makarska city itself and show some of its many attractions (like the main city square and the church of Saint Mark the Evangelist). If you haven't seen it yet, feel free to check out my recent post about Makarska. You can also check out this old Makarska travel post (dating to March, 2016). As you can see, I've been to Makarska a few times. Not nearly enough, if you ask me. It is a beautiful city and I think I even prefer it in spring sea…

January and February have both been quite eventful months for me. A mix of good and the bad you might say, but all in all I can't complain. After ten long years I'm finally in remission, so that's amazing news. Fingers crossed things stay that way. I can't tell you how relived and happy I am to be in remission. I lost all hope of it (to tell you the truth) but then when I didn't even think about it, it happened. That's life, isn't it? You never know what the tomorrow might bring. Both good and the bad. I suppose that's the fun in living- not knowing. I know  it might seem a bit late, sharing January and February highlights as late as mid March, but I finally found some time to put this post together, so let's do it. Scroll down to see some of my January and February highlights.

Most of the trips I took this January were to areas located in vicinity of Mostar city (where I'm still based) but in February I visited Croatia. I&…
