MILNA BAY NEAR HVAR TOWN HIDES AMAZING BEACHES

My last two posts took you to Hvar town. Hvar is a gorgeous historical city and a centre of island's night life, but during the summer it can get a bit crowded on its beaches. There are just not enough beaches in Hvar town to meet the demand.  Hvar city isn't very large so it is easy for its beaches to get crowded. Fortunately, there are some stunning beaches in vicinity and today I'll show you one of them. Milna bay is located in vicinity of Hvar town. This gorgeous bay is just a short drive away from Hvar town. Milna bay boosts with four beaches. I visited two of its beautiful beaches and I can vouch for them- they are absolutely stunning, particularly the larger one. I hope they won't be too crowded in the summer, so I can try swimming here. There are also some lovely pathways and tracks if you enjoy hiking as well.  If you read my blog, then you probably know that there are many beautiful beaches on Hvar island. It is my mission to explore all of them and to share them with you. Milna bay with its gorgeous beaches and views definitely deserves a special mention. There are also apartments available for rent if you decide to stay in this bay (I'm not sure will they be available for rent this summer, but it seems there is a good possibility at the moment). Scroll down and visit Milna bay with me!

We actually visited Milna on the same day we visited Hvar town (back in February). It was an extremely warm winter day as you can see in these images. We were blessed with a very mild and sunny winter, but spring weather has been somewhat unpredictable. Anyhow, I'll leave some links bellow in case you missed that post or you want to know more about the area and Hvar town.
I'm so happy I had the opportunity to visit Milna bay as it is absolutely wonderful. The views are amazing. I love that you can see so many islands from this spot: island Vis, island Korcula and island Scedro.  Living on Hvar island is such a blessing, I wish I could stay here forever. If you're interested in learning more about Hvar island, bellow are my links with post that will show you around Hvar island. I've been based here for six months now, so many of my posts in this period have been Hvar themed. It is so exciting getting to learn more about this magical island.

  1. I like your pink and lilac outfit, that's a great colour combination! the bay looks so beautiful too, the water is always so crystal clear in your pics! It will be nice if things are back to normal by summer for you all. Here there is a roadmap to things getting back to normal and they expect most things to be open again in July!

Hope your week is going well :) We are starting to slowly return to normal with the kids back at school!

  2. I find it so interesting, that even though we are half a world apart, the beaches in Hvar look just like the beaches here (although we have a lot more driftwood). They're rocky, little sand, and also very beautiful.

Love your outfit, Irena - I know I've said it before, but you look stunning in berry shades. They look great on you!

    Take care, and stay safe!

    1. Yes, it is fascinating, isn't it? Another place that reminds me of Croatia is New Zealand.

  3. What a gorgeous beach Ivana! The color of the water is amazing. A less crowded beach would be my choice to enjoy. Stay safe and well!

  5. Milna bay definitely is another stunner. And look at that amazing blue sky and sparkling water. You really are spoilt for choice when it concerns bays, beaches and natural beauty in your adopted home. I'd be happy to have just one of them nearby. Whatever the case, like you, I'd definitely prefer a quieter beach, so I'd be avoiding the ones in Hvar Town too! I hope you are doing well and looking forward to a relaxing weekend! xxx

  6. Looks like you enjoyed a really gorgeous and mild winter day when you visited Milna Bay. I love the vibrant berry shades of your wardrobe. Thanks for sharing this. I think it'll be awhile before I'm anywhere near a beach again so it's nice to be able to experience them virtually :) The views there are stunning.

  11. That beach looks just like a quiet little cove I love in Corfu, how I miss the sea. I wonder how long it'll be before we see it again/

  12. Lovely and beyond! Thank you for taking us with you to magical places that are like a picture found at Pinterest. I must say to you that I miss to stroll around the sea, something difficult to do in Spain since they are starting to end up the lockdown and for obvious reasons everybody wants to go to the beach, but I wouldn't mind to enjoy the peaceful of a stroll by the water :)

I love the way you put the pictures, very editorial and the outfit you picked is the perfect contrast to the colors of the sea :)
