THANK YOU FOR ONE MILLION VIEWS ON MODAODARADOSTI BLOG!
First of all, thank you so much for a million views to this little place of my. Blogging isn't all about the views, but still sometimes it is fun to have a look at the statistics. I started my blog in December of 2012 and here I am, seven years and a few months, one million views and 84,5 thousand comments later. This blogging thing has been a fun journey. I've shared many things on this blog so far, mostly art, travel and fashion related content. I'm especially grateful for your comments and encouragement. Blogging wouldn't be half as fun without the comments and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be as motivated to blog if I hadn't happened to find such a lovely blogging community. In addition, I need to thank my husband for taking so many photographs. While there is a fair share of my photography on this blog, I rarely photograph myself so most photographs you see of me were taken by him. It wouldn't be the same without his contribution.
These photographs were taken in Hvar town about two months ago before this whole epidemic started. Hvar is the largest town on island Hvar and perhaps the best known town on the island. Hvar town shares the name with the island itself. I have visited this town a couple of times since I moved here. I really enjoyed every visit. I have to say that I miss being able to drive to this beautiful town for a stroll and a cup of coffee. I still have a couple of posts to share from this place, so you'll be seeing it again. You can read my previous posts from Hvar town here:
This spring hasn't been to the best start, to stay the least. However, we still need to get dressed, don't we? You might want to look chic even if you don't plan to leave the house. Plus, clothes can make us feel better. So, why not dress up a little? What I love about wide trousers is that they are both chic and comfortable. In fact, a nice pair of trousers can be very comfortable. Nice option for a work at home styling- or party at home if that is what you have in your plans. I wrote about ways to elegantly style wide trousers for summer last year and today I'll focus more on spring. A great thing about a classical pair of wide trousers will never go out of style. Today's post is for all of you who'd like to jump on the wide-leg trouser trend or just happen to like this style. Even dress lovers will agree that a nice pair of trousers can take one far. Sometimes I like nothing better than a pair of high waist wide trousers, especially when I want to put together a professional looking outfit.
Today I have a chic early spring outfit proposal for you. This outfit is suitable for transitional weather so if it is still a bit cold where you're at, this might work for you. A pair of boots is always a good option if you want to stay warm in transitional weather and an pair of wide trousers enables you to wear all kinds of boots. I know that I'm repeating myself but one of the benefits of wide cut trousers is not only the comfortable factor but the practical one as well. In addition, the wide cut often helps us achieve that fabulous vintage vibe. These trousers are easy to dress up and can look incredibly sophisticated. Contrary to popular belief, wide trousers aren't that hard to style. A classical wide-leg cut will look nice on most body types. It's more about finding the right fit and styling it right. If you choose a high waist pair, you'll automatically look taller and leaner, an effect that you can work to your advantage, especially if you pair your trousers with a pair of heels. The boots I wore with them have a small block heel but it still made a difference I would say.
This outfit is another proof that you can look stylish while shopping your closet. This spring styling consists of a second hand striped shirt, an old Avon scarf, a faux leather jacket from Mana (previously worn here and here), a pair of brown boots (if you want to see how I styled them before, you can do so here, here, here) and a pair of navy wide legged high rise pants you can look up bellow.
