VISIT BAY PRAPATNA ON ISLAND HVAR WITH ME!

Exploring island Hvar is turning into a new hobby of mine. I love discovering new destinations on this island and sharing them with you. Today I'm taking you to bay Prapatna. Located about 10 kilometers from Jelsa, this beautiful bay has it all: a stunning beach, wonderful views, lots of greenery and crystal clear water. There are two main ways to get to this bay: one is by car (just take a turn from a main road) and the other is by boat.

Ova prekrasna uvala smještena je oko deset kilometara od Jelse, a čini mi se da ima sve: predivnu plažu, divan pogled, puno zelenila i kristalno čisto more. Postoje dva glavna načina na koji možete doći do nje: jedan je autom (samo skrenite kada vidite znak na glavnoj cesti), a drugi je brodom.

Situata a circa 10 chilometri da Jelsa, questa bellissima baia ha tutto: una spiaggia meravigliosa, viste splendide, tanto verde e mare cristallino. Ci sono due modi principali per arrivare qui: uno è in macchina  e l'altro è in barca.
EN HOW DID I GET TO PRAPATNA BAY?
Actually, I didn't plan to visit this bay. I didn't even know of its existence. I was just driving around when I saw a sign on the road that had a picture of this bay on it. I took the turn and followed the road. That's how we got there. It is a short drive from the main road but the road leading to it is quite narrow (that is the case with most roads apart from the main one). Anyhow, once we got there we were so impressed with this beautiful bay that we decided to explore it a bit. 

HR KAKO SAM DOŠLA DO UVALE PRAPATNE?
 Zapravo nisam planirala posjetiti ovu uvalu jer zapravo nisam ni znala da postoji. Dok sam se vozila uokolo primijetila sam natpis na kojem je bila slika ove uvale. Odmah sam odlučila skrenuti, a nakon što sam skrenula sa glavne ceste samo sam nastavila pratiti cestu.  Kratka je vožnja od glavne ceste, ali cesta koja vodi do nje je prilično uska (to je slučaj s većinom cesta osim glavne). U svakom slučaju, nakon što smo stigli, bili smo toliko impresionirani ovom prekrasnom uvalom da smo je odlučili malo istražiti.

IT COME HO ARRIVATA IN BAIA PRAPATNA?
In realtà, non avevo intenzione di visitare questa baia. Non sapevo nemmeno della sua esistenza. Stavo andando in giro quando ho visto un cartello sulla strada che conteneva una foto di questa baia. Ho preso la svolta e ho seguito la strada. Ecco come ci siamo arrivati. Qzesta baia si trova a breve distanza in auto dalla strada principale ma la strada che è piuttosto stretta (questo è il caso con la maggior parte delle strade oltre a quella principale). Comunque, una volta arrivati lì, siamo rimasti così inamorati in questa bellissima baia che abbiamo deciso di esplorarla un po '.

PRAPATNA BAY- MY FINAL IMPRESSIONS
As I already said, I was absolutely enchanted by this bay. The beach is so beautiful. I can't wait until it gets warm enough to swim here. I googled this bay and found out that there is an 18 century  house here. I did spot a few stone houses that looked old, but I'm not sure whether any of them was the historical house mentioned online. Most of the houses I saw looked quite new and the internet tells me that most of them (if not all) are available for booking. Another thing I found online is a photo of this bay from bird-eye perspective and it is beautiful. I imagine that sailing into this bay must be an amazing experience as well. To conclude, I would definitely recommend visiting this bay. 

A FEW WORDS ABOUT THIS SPORTY STYLING
Our hike was actually quite short as I was down with the cold when these photographs were taken. Despite being sick, I really enjoyed visiting this bay. It was a beautiful sunny day but my cold was so bad that it actually hurt to breathe. I can't even imagine how hard it would have been getting out if it was really cold. I'm still under the weather and I'm still struggling with fever. It is definitely nice being able to visit such beautiful places near by since I'm so sick that a long journey would exhaust me. What else can I say about my sporty styling? I was gifted these grey joggers by my significant other, I'm not sure where this grey pair is from, I think he saw and bought them in a supermarket or something like that. The puffer is a recent purchase. My husband saw it in Mana and insisted I buy it so I did. As or the white sneakers and the red baseball cap, they are both very old (you can check out how I styled them in the past here, here, here and here).

    Ma che bellissima scoperta! Non fatico a immaginare perchè tu ti sia subito innamorata di questa baia, basta guardare i colori delle foto per capirlo: è un pezzetto di paradiso!
    Il mare poi è sensazionale, io credo che avrei provaro comunque a bagnarmi almeno i piedi anche con il freddo, come si fa a resistere a un'acqua così bella?

    Wow how cool to able to dive around and discover such a beautiful place. I see so many beautiful places around the world in sphere of blogging. I mean I can't complain I live in NY and there is the city and we do have nice beaches, but sometime am I like hmmm. My strep family lives in Paris and I so wish I could move there and then travel to other parts of Europe.

    Yes Ivana! I have noticed you've been many times in Hvar Island, and I'm always like to take a look at these scenarios with you.

    This place looks so peaceful, ideal for disconnect from the busy streets and the daily stress... that is so valuable so try to go as much as you can!

    This island also remind of Mallorca in Spain, have you been there? It is such a nice island with clear water, just like this one :D

Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! How are you today? I'm back with another Ursula K. Le Guin book review. In this post, I'll review " Forgiveness Day" , a science fiction novella that is a part of the Hainish Circle. Published in 1995, "Forgiveness Day " won multiple awards. This novella is often published together with her other novellas from the Hainish Circle, and it can be find in various editions of Four Ways to Forgiveness and Five Ways to Forgiveness.   Thematically, this novella is a part of five stories featuring two Hainish planets, but it can definitely be read on its own. I think it functions well as a stand alone novella. I listened to it in audio form, and I didn't have any problems following the story.  The world building is simple and effective. In this post, I'll share my review for Maugham's short story titled T he Ant and the Grasshopper . This post will also be  a reading recommendation because I enjoyed this story a great deal. I've been reading Maugham's The Complete Short Stories for some time now. I've been taking my time with this collection, but I enjoyed it a lot.
