7 OCTOBER OUTFIT IDEAS & 2 LINKUPS

Hello everyone! How are you? I'm in bed with fever, I think I caught a virus or something. Anyhow, today I have a few October outfit proposals to share with you. I sure love getting dressed in autumn. With this fall styling ideas, I'm joining Modish Matrons (fifty shades of fall) Linkup. I'm also linking this post with Mica's Weekly Wear Linkup.

1. ORANGE DRESS STYLED WITH A LONG GREEN VEST AND A VINTAGE BLAZER
What says October better than an orange dress? Orange is the colour of warmth. It is also the colour of Halloween and pumpkins. So, I'd say it is a pretty good choice for this time of year. I love wearing this  Bellissima dress (see how I styled it here, here and here). I paired this orange dress with a long green vest (besides m last post, I also wore it here , here and here) and a curd vintage blazer (see how I styled it here). I finished the outfit with black square heel boots (previously worn here and here) and a bag (previously worn here and here). Overall, I really like the colours in this outfit. Pumkin orange, olive green and wine purple. I do like these shades. What do you think? Is this a good autumn styling? I think this outfit would work quite well for the office as well.

When it comes to my autumn essentials, blazers and boots are definitely my 'go to' autumn. Blazers make layering our outfits easier. There are so many ways to wear them. We can layer them over a dress or under a coat (if it is already cold). Similarly, boots are a great autumn item. They keep our feet warm. This year I'm noticing that square heeled ones are trending. That is just as well, because I find this heel quite comfortable. What do you think? Do you like square heels?

2. STRIPED PUFFER SHIRT WORN UNDER A SKATER DRESS
A little black dress is a classic. If you want to make this classic more interesting, go for the skater cut. I love wearing this black skater dress in autumn and winter time. The material it is made of is quite warm (it resembles that of a coat) and that makes it quite cozy. Bellow you can see how I styled it with a striped puffer shirt underneath (see 8 ways to style it here ), a pink bag (worn here and here) and a pair of heels. If you want to see how I styled this black skater dress in the past, you can check out this, this or this outfit post.  When I wore it last, I ditched the coat because it was warm enough, but I'll probably wear something over it the next time I wear it.

3. VINTAGE LEVI'S JEANS WORN WITH A TURTLENECK AND A LONG VEST
This is another lovely reason of why I love autumn- the light layering. Sometimes all we need is a long vest. I've been wearing this long olive vest a lot lately. Bellow you can see how I paired it with vintage levi's jeans (worn here , here and here), an olive turtleneck (worn here) and a pair of black biker boots (worn here) and a bag (worn here).

4. LEOPARD HEELS, BERMUDA JEANS AND A RUFFLED SHIRT
I have another denim outfit proposal for you. Bellow you can see how I styled a ruffled shirt (worn previously here, here and here) with a pair of bermuda jeans (styled previously here and here) a black bag (here) and a pair of leopard heels ( see how I styled them here, here and here).

5. OFFICE STYLE DRESS WORN WITH HEELS
After a casual styling, comes a dressed one. My next styling is another office appropriate look. If you want to see how I styled this feminine dress in the past, you can check out this post.  I definitely plan to wear this dress well into autumn, just by adding layers to it. I already wore it a couple of times this autumn. I think dresses like this one are simply perfect for work. Do you agree?

6. TARTAN BLAZER WORN WITH A GREY DRESS AND HEELED BOOTS
This long tartan blazer is one of the most worn items in my wardrobe (see how I styled it here, here and here).  Sometimes I like to contrast it with prints and other times I like to keep it simple. Bellow you can see how I styled it with a grey dress (worn previously here) and high heeled boots (here, here, here and here). A simple autumn styling that felt great to wear. How do you like it?

7. SUIT UP: BLACK AND WHITE OCTOBER OFFICE STYLING
My final October outfit proposal is all about suiting up. Do you like the suit trend? I had this black suit tailored made for me and it was such a great investment. I wear these two items (black blazer and pants) quite often. Sometimes I wear them together and sometimes apart. Feel free to check out my old posts here, here and  here for more inspiration. Bellow you can see how I paired this black suit with a white shirt, a second hand bag and brown heeled booties. Let me know what do you think.

Thank you for reading and commenting. Let me know what you think about these October outfit proposals. What are your October essentials? Would you like to see more similar posts?

  1. Sorry to hear you're unwell and I hope you'll get better soon. If it's any consolation, I was struggling with a bug last week as well. I'm only just starting to feel slightly better. I think October can be a tricky month, as it can be quite Autumnal one day, with Summer making a brief return the next. But even when the weather is summery, I often wear Autumnal shades, as I love them so. Your first outfit with its delicious Autumn shades, is therefore my favourite. But I'm also loving that long olive vest! xxx

Subito dopo questo mi piacciono molto il look con i jeans e il top turtleneck e quello con i bermuda di jeans e la camicetta con le ruches, entrambi sono portabilissimi, e trovo che quei jeans ti donino davvero tanto! :)

  25. Oooh yes! All of them are a perfect option to go and enjoy autumn, but can you believe here in Barcelona we still feeling that summer breeze? It is kinda difficult to pick clothes right now haha.

I like all the options, but 1 and 6 are my favorites because they involve blazers, I have an obsession with this garment right now and it seems that it will be the star of next season, despite I think they are a good investment for life! I liked your combinations, I feel that you could go for an important meeting to an event to have lunch with friends just with this attire ;) Number 2 with the vest is also very interesting!

HOW TO STYLE A GRAPHIC T-SHIRT WITH WHITE JEANS?

How to style a graphic t-shirt? There are quite a few ways to go about it. My outfit proposal of the day suggests that you should try styling your graphic tee with a white shirt, white jeans and a pair of pink heels. Just because autumn is here, doesn't mean you have to wear only dark colours. White items can look so elegant when styled right. Wearing white for autumn and winter can be a great way to refresh your style. If your style is more classical, pair white with neutral colours such as black or grey. If you're a lover of colour, you can have fun pairing white with any shade you like. I actually love to wear soft colours such as baby pink and blue even in the colder months. If you want to jazz up your graphic tee outfit, why not try pairing it with white jeans? If your graphic t-shirt is short sleeved, why not try layering a shirt or a blouse under it? If you borrow you t-shirt from your boyfriend or someone taller than yourself, you can even wear it as a dress and pair …

VISIT STARI GRAD ON ISLAND HVAR WITH ME! TOP CROATIAN DESTINATIONS

Stari Grad on island Hvar is a beautiful historical city. Its name, meaning old city, couldn't be more appropriate. In fact, Stari Grad was formed the same year Aristotle was born in! Moreover, the connection with the ancient Greeks doesn't stop there. This city was actually formed by Greek colonists from island Paros who came here looking for a safe place to live after a natural catastrophe destroyed their homes. In this secluded bay, the ancient Greeks found both safety and beauty. They named this city Faros. This stunning port city, Aristotle's contemporary, can boast with five thousand years of continuous urban tradition. It is also an amazingly beautiful, authentic and picturesque touristic destination. More than five thousand years of urban tradition is not something you see every day. Walking these streets, you can really breathe in history and culture. Autumn is a great time to visit but winters are also pretty mild here, so a winter stay makes sense too.

VRBOSKA (AKA LITTLE VENICE) ON ISLAND HVAR, CROATIA

Island Hvar hides many gems and I'm very excited to share them all with you. Today I'm taking you to a little picturesque village named Vrboska and nicknamed 'Little Venice'. Located at the end of a narrow bay, this tiny village is an ideal place to escape the stresses of modern life. Because of its lovely bridges, Vrboska was nicknamed 'Little Venice'. Everything from the pine forest surrounding it to the traditional Dalmatian architecture within is absolutely beautiful. The views are simply amazing. No wonder it is increasingly popular with the tourists.
This village started its life as a fishing port and its deep bay still offers protection for boats and yachts.  It is the perfect place to stroll around and admire boats and traditional stone houses. The little island within the bay is particularly beautiful. This little village has only around 500 residents. Most tourists visit Vrboska during the summer. There are many stunning beaches in the vicinity and …
