Sunset in Split city + outfit of the day (jeans and biker boots)

Today I'll be sharing another quick post and this will be my last outfit post for this month. Tomorrow I'll do a little January recap and that'll be that for this month. The outfit I'm sharing today is a casual one. A pair of jeans and biker boots- it doesn't get more casual than that. Besides this casual winter outfit today I'll also be sharing a few photographs of my lovely home town. Just a few though. This outfit I wore for one of those rare walks by the sea last year. I had spend the last Autumn in Split, but most of the time I was either in and out of hospitals or in bed so I didn't get to enjoy my home town that much. Because of my health condition of the time, walks were a rarity. There were a few of them, however, and they made me see how precious beauty can be. Needless to say, they  reinforced my love for the sea. I do love the sea. I will never forget how happy I was to be able to go for a stroll by the sea that time. It's the little things, right? If you have a chance to go for a stroll by the sea or by a river/lake, don't miss it. It is amazing how much a simple walk can help to make us feel better, both psychically and emotionally.

This reddish tartan jacket is one of my favourite ones. I bought it four years ago, I think, mostly because it was the same brand as one green tartan jacket I had bought a year earlier. Because I ended up liking that green jacket so much, I decided to get this one as well, even though they're really similar, almost the same. Do you know what? I didn't regret my decision. I wear both of them frequently. Both of these jackets are very warm and they just seem perfect for Autumn and Winter. This time I paired it with a blue velvet poloneck so I was almost too warm.

Do any of you have any tips for high blood pressure? I have never had issues with it, but my husband's been having issues with high blood pressure lately. I'm not sure what to do. I'm pretty sure I don't use that much salt when I'm cooking. I've been googling this whole blood pressure thing and it seems that physical activity and power walks can help. So, we'll try those. We already do walk but maybe we should try walking more? I'm a big fan of winter walks. Are you? I think I already repeated that a couple of times this month. I hope I'm not beginning to sound like a broken record, but I do love my walks.

  1. Dear Ivana, I love winter walks, too, as in winter it is definitely not as hot as in summer during such walks :) How good you bought the similar jacket of the green tartan jacket in this colour combination as I agree it looks fantastic. Thanks for sharing all the wonderful pictures of your beloved home town Split! Regarding your question maybe you want to click on this site https://www.medizin-im-text.de/blog/2014/190/bluthochdruck-und-die-psyche/ and translate it with the help of google into your language.

  10. I always enjoy your photos of Split and it looks like sunset time is quite gorgeous there. There's just something about the way light hits everything at that time of day that is truly magical. It's so interesting to seeing how sunsets look around the world. Your outfit is total casual chic :)

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism. Naravno da mi puno znači što ste uzeli vrijeme da nešto napišete, pa makar to bila i kritika. Per me le vostre parole sono sempre preziose anche quando si tratta di critiche.

My fashion illustration of the day + book review / Moja modna ilustracija dana + ogled knjige ( Le Diable au corps) 6.12.2016

This morning I read an amazing novel. Le Diable au corps (translated as The Devil In the Flesh) is a novel by Raymond Radiquet. Believe it or not, this was by first book by this French writer. I don't think I even heard of him before, which is odd, but well, it happens. In his time, Raymond was quite a celebrity and he is still considered as one of the important French writers of that period. Did I like this novel? Quite frankly, I loved it. I just couldn't put this novel down. I must have read it an hour or so. I got up a bit more earlier this morning so I actually had time to read it with my morning coffee (it is not a very long novel but still it is amazing how easy it was to find one's self glued to those pages). Perhaps I should make it a habit, getting up more early so I can read more.
Jutros sam pročitala divan roman. Đavo u tijelu  (naslov izvornika Le Diable au corps) je roman Raymonda Radiqueta. Vjerovali ili ne, ovo je moj prvi roman ovoga pisca. Mislim da nika…

Fashion illustrations of the day (markers)

Hello darlings! How are you? Can you believe that February ends today? This month has just flown by. I know it's the shortest month in the year but still. Today I'm going to share 3 fashion illustrations and sketches with you. The medium for all of them is marker on paper. I don't work with markers that often, but sometimes it is good to try something different. The fashion sketches I'm sharing are all about 3 colours: purple, green and red. Spring is in the air, so this is my reflection on all those trends for the new season. The first illustration shows a girl wearing a purple and blue jumpsuit. The second illustration features a girl wearing a transparent green dress with a top and a skirt under that dress. The third illustration shows two girls in red gowns.

February Recap (art & DIY projects & outfits)

I've put a lot of effort into blogging this February, I hope it shows. As far as the content goes, February was similar to January, mostly a mix of my illustrations and outfit posts (here). This month I was full of positing ideas and I managed to make many of them happen. I feel pretty good about that. The only thing I feel bad about is making my blog monolingual and not using my other languages, but translating texts from English to other languages takes such a long time. It is so much easier to just write in English.  Hopefully, I'll manage to change that and make my blog multilingual again. I need to organize my time better. Fingers crossed. For March I already have a few posts prepared. You can expect more art (mostly fashion illustrations) & outfit posts.

DIY PROJECTS
I shared two DIY projects in February, one about making a Barbie dress, the other was about how to paint a plant container. I don't have any DIY projects prepared for March, but I'm sure that I…
