3 Ways To Wear a Pair of Cropped Pants
How do you feel about wearing cropped pants? I'm a big fan and I know I'm not the only one. There are many advantages to wearing cropped pants. Some say that the reason why cropped pants make us look slimmer is because they showcase the thinnest part of our legs- the ankles. I've never really thought about it that way. I first started wearing cropped pants because I had problems finding the right size. So, I would buy regular pants but they would look cropped on me. I think that's the case with this pair of pants. I had this pair of ages, I wear it often but I bought it by mistake. They weren't cropped as such, it's just what happens when a girl who is 5 feet 9 buys a S size. I usually don't buy pants in small size, but this was the only pair they had and I bought it without looking at the size label and because I was wearing boots so I didn't realize they were cropped. Fast forward to today, I'm happy I bough this pair of pants. Another advantage to this particular cut is that it allows you to showcase your shoes. So, if you have a gorgeous pair of shoes that you can't wait to show to the world, cropped pants are a great choice. Today I'll share with you 3 outfits featuring one grey pair of cropped pants.
OUTFIT NO.1 Cropped pants styled with a floral ruffled shirt and chunky heels.
This floral shirt with ruffles has been my saviour for years. I always put it on when I want to add femininity to any outfit. What is more romantic than ruffles, right? I think it works well with these pants, but next time I will try tucking this shirt in. I just think that a tucked in shirt is often more flattering, especially combined with a high waist (high rise) pants. If the shoes look look familiar, it is because I've actually wore these heels (paired with these socks) (here) but I liked the combination so much that I had to repeat it.
OUTFIT NO. 2 Cropped pants worn with a red blouse and a peep toe heels
In this outfit, the grey pants are contrasted with a vibrant red blouse, but I think this combination of colours works very well. Grey is such an underestimated colour. Anyhow, here I tucked in this shirt and I think it looks better worn that way. I paired the cropped pants with peep toe heels. Supposedly peep toe heels make our legs look longer. I'm not sure if that is true, I just read it someplace. I opted for a hat because the sun was really strong that day. Perhaps I choose this one because the beige details match the ones on shoes. I honestly can't remember, but it is possible because I love to match accessories. Sometimes I like to play with unexpected colour combinations, but more often I have fun colour coordinating. How about you? Do you like colours? If yes, how do you wear them?
This is my third outfit for today. It is also my first time this year wearing sandals, and it feels good. I did wear some peep toe shoes, but that's not really the same. Anyway, besides these lovely wedges I had for ages, I paired these cropped pants with a white shirt. The shirt is tied in such a way that it looks cropped, but not much skin is showed. (Trust me, you don't want to see what my stomach looks like after resection surgery.) I did a lot of DIY work on this shirt. I first altered it and then I hand painted it. I think it looks pretty cute now.

DeleteOh, I'm such a fan of cropped trousers! They're so flattering and versatile for any time of year, though especially the Spring when styling can become pretty difficult due to ever-changing weather conditions haha! I'm not surprised that first floral shirt is a longterm fave of yours - it's os beautiful! Hope you're having a fabulous long weekend so far Ivana :)

Wow, you have really outdone yourself in this post! I love how you showed us how you style the cropped pants. The flares and cut bring some nostalgia to me as I used to wear something like this back in the day. I don't have this particular styling in my current closet and I'm thinking of getting me some cropped pants. I am especially taken in by the second outfit as I just love that floral shirt and the peep-toe heels on you. So chic! Also, thank you for showing us the springtime there, it's so picturesque. I hope you are feeling well and continue recovering from fever if you're still down. *smiles* <3
ReplyDeleteŚliczna i zgrabna z Ciebie dziewczyna :) super wyglądasz w tych spodniach! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks very interesting) Thanks a lot for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love the three ways you styled the trousers! I have similar problems to you being 5 foot 8.5! I do like cropped trousers-my favourite ones are some cute cat embroidered ones from Miss Patina- it is so nice to wear those-so you can benefit from the warmth but you feel liberated wearing trousers!
ReplyDeleteThe ruffled blouse is really pretty and it is very reminiscent of the blossom of the tree you are standing under!
What was the surgery you had done exactly? You mentioned resection but I'm not sure what that is!
xx
I had to have parts of my small intestine and colon removed because of Chron disease, about half a meter altogether. The doctors just call it resection Chron surgery, I'm not sure is there any other term for it. The scar is hideous, it looks like a shark tried to have a bite of me:)!
DeleteAmo i pantaloni cropperd, né ho tantissimi! Molto belli questi è come li hai abbinati nei vari look!

Dear Ivana, yes, for sure I'm a fan of cropped pants! Honestly, it even feels for me more strange to wear pants in normal length than cropped pants :) And I don't wear cropped pants because I'm tall like you :) Love all the 3 looks you show here. You really know how to wear cropped pants and I'm so sorry that you still see that many from your operation. Hopefully you feel nevertheless well. The handpainted shirt looks absolutely good, you can be so proud of what you have created again.
ReplyDeleteHappy new week!

A nice showcase for the versatility of cropped pants. All three outfits looks so chic. I'm a fan of cropped pants not so much for the slimming effect but for the lengthening effect ;p
ReplyDeleteYour outfits with the cropped pants look very stylish, dear Ivana! I like them all very well - on YOU! (My favorite outfit is number 2) I absolutely don't like it myself in such pants. I have short legs and unfortunately I can not wear shoes with high heels ....
ReplyDeleteHugs my dear!
Traude
You look beautiful in these outfits! I quite like cropped pants on a lot of people but since I am short they really do not work on my body, ha ha xx.
ReplyDeleteRaindrops of Sapphire
These pants are so trendy right now and as you mention they are really good when it comes to combine it with different pieces to look taller :D All the options are definitely good, Ivana!

HEY FUNGI
"How do you feel about wearing cropped pants" - it´s ok for me. i think it is a "special" kind of pants, but i looks really good. i like it how your paired it on that look were you wearing a hat and heels - you posing like a real model, so stylish!!! but this pants looks for me like a jogging pants - thats the name in germany for these kinds of pants.
