A VINTAGE WHITE BLAZER, BLUE JEANS & DIY NECKLACE (HERZEGOVINA)

Hello readers! How are you doing? I hope you're enjoying your Easter weekend. If you looking for ideas about what to wear for the Easter weekend, I've already covered that topic on this little digital place to call my own HERE.  Today I'll present a smart casual outfit to you that was inspired by my fashion illustrations. Creating fashion illustrations is obviously a great way to get inspired. One of the things I love about creating art is the way it makes you more attentive. When it comes to creating fashion illustrations, I find inspiration everywhere. I illustrate both runaway looks and everyday outfits (worn by fellow bloggers, friends or myself).

The location for the photographs is restaurant Romanca near Mostar (#notsponsored). This lovely restaurant is surrounded by a vineyard, so as you can imagine it's a very serene and romantic place. We love to go there to enjoy some peace and quiet.  Moreover, there's a great selection of wine. I don't drink myself, but I love learning about wine. Herzegovina has a great wine tradition, it's one of the things this region is famous for.  What else is Herzegovina famous for? Warm climate, many rivers, beautiful nature,  lots of sunshine and pomegranates.

Pozdrav čitateljima! Kako ste?

Volimo ići tamo uživati u miru i tišini. Topla klima, mnoštvo rijeka, prekrasna priroda, puno sunca i šipci.

SUSTAINABLE FASHION FILES- THE STORY OF AN OUTFIT- HOW I WORE THESE ITEMS BEFORE?

How sustainable is this outfit? I would say that it's pretty sustainable. Some items are vintage, some are second hand and some I have worn a lot. So, let's have a look at how I wore these outfits before.

THE WHITE BLAZER- It was given to me by my sister in law and it's actually a part of s skirt suit, but I usually wear that suit as separates. This blazer is simply perfect for transitional weather. I love to wear it with skirt and dresses, but I also love how it adds elegance to denim outfits.

1) WHITE BLAZER WORN WITH AN ORANGE DRESS AND LEOPARD HEELS

2)WITH A LEOPARD DRESS AND A MAGENTA COAT

3) WITH A VINTAGE PINK DRESS AND PINK SANDALS & SOCKS

4) WITH LEVI'S JEANS, POINTY BOOTS AND FAUX FUR COLLAR

5)WITH  A MIXED PRINT DRESS AND MARY JANE HEELS

6) WITH A GREY SKIRT, DIY NECKLACE AND PEKO BOOTS

7) WITH BLACK FLARED CORD JEANS AND A PASTEL SHIRT

8) WITH  A DENIM SKIRT AND A PASTEL TURTLENECK SWEATER

9) WITH A BLACK DRESS AND STILETTO HEELS

10) WITH A BLUE AMADEUS DRESS AND PINK HEELS

THE BLACK SHIRT- This was a second hand shop find. I love this shirt and I have worn it a lot over the years. I often layer it under dresses, especially black dresses.  You can see how I wore it with my DIY statement necklace last January here

THE BLUE JEANS- I've already showed you plus 30 ways to wear this pair of jeans in 2020. Since then I have worn this pair many times, so it's entirely possible I'll get to 100 wears..

THE EARTH TONED STRAW BAG- I bought this bag in Borsa store in Mostar last year but I've already got so much wears from it. I love to wear straw bags in Spring to invoke warmer weather. This spring has been kind of cold, so this bag makes me feel like it's Spring even if I'm dressed in layers or still opting for a coat. See how I styled this bag in the past: 1) WITH A FLORAL DRESS AND STARTAS SNEAKERS 2) WITH A GREY DRESS AND SNEAKERS 3) WITH BLUE AMADEUS DRESS  AND HEELS 4) WITH A WHITE TUNICS, A GREY SKIRT AND BLACK HEELS 5) WITH A PENCIL SKIRT

THE BLACK POINTY BOOTS- What to say about this pair? I wear these point boots all the time. In this post from 2021, you can see several ways to style this pointy pair.  I have even illustrated an outfit featuring this pointy pair here. In this outfit, I feel like the black boots were a good pairing with the black shirt and the faux leather necklace I designed and made.

A few more words about my outfit. As I said, when putting this outfit together I was inspired by some of my recent fashion illustrations. I took the idea of a white jacket from Casablanca collection and the denim inspiration from Elisabetta Franchi's collection. I was also inspired by the asymmetrical necklace I made last month and was eager to wear again. I've made quite a few statement necklaces this year. As you know,  I love arts & crafts, DIY projects and all that. Some of my new necklaces were adapted from old necklaces (I made in the past), but all of them are made with upcycled and recycled materials. I always sew my DIY necklaces and I don't use glue. It takes more time to make a statement necklace that way, but it is more environmentally friendly and sustainable. Plus, I love sewing.

Inspirirala me i asimetrična ogrlica koju sam napravila prošli mjesec i koju sam htjela opet nositi.

That would be all for today! Let me know what you think about this styling.
To je sve za danas. Recite mi što mislite o ovoj kombinaciji.

  7. Hi
First of all, I wish you a Happy Easter!
Do you know that I also have a collection of necklaces made by me? I don't use glue either, but I don't sew them, I do everything with metallic thread! Yours matched very well with your look, you look very elegant in that outfit! And what else can I say about your illustrations? They are beautiful, pure art! And that place is so cool!

  14. Timelessly chic and ever so lovely! A great blazer paired with jeans must surely be one of the best (now) classic fashion pairings to have emerged over the last few decades.

Many your entire spring be as sunny and enjoyable as the day you took these great snaps.

    🖤 Autumn

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism.
