HOW TO STYLE BLACK CORD FLARES FOR AUTUMN? OUTFIT PROPOSAL

Are you wondering what fabrics to reach for this Autumn? Corduroy items are perfect for creating cozy autumn outfits. So, I'm assuming most of you (if not all) have at least one pair of dark (cord) jeans.  How to style black corduroy flare jeans for autumn? Today I'll show you an easy autumnal styling. When in doubt go for a black and white styling, for it always look elegant. Here I paired my dark cord jeans with a white shirt and a white blazer. This classic colour combo allowed me to play with accessories a bit. I made things more interesting by adding statement earrings and a scarf in the mix. I also wore high heeled boots for the extra elongating effect. Alright, I'm quite tall, but this combo makes me look even taller. Flare jeans can be so flattering, especially high rise ones.

THERE IS NOTHING NEW ABOUT THIS OUTFIT: SUSTAINABLE FASHION FILES
I've finished the Slow Season Fashion Challenge successfully. I didn't purchase anything last summer. Second hand items were allowed in this challenge but I just didn't feel like buying anything. I haven't purchased anything this autumn either. I might do a slow fashion autumn as well. I'm pretty good at shopping my closet, so I can go for long periods without buying absolutely anything.  This outfit proves that it is possible to create a chic outfit with items you already have in your closet. Many people get the shopping bug with every new season, but how much clothes do we really need? I mean it might not be for everyone, but you can definitely get through a new season without new clothes.

Bellow you can see how I styled these high waist cord flares with a white shirt, a scarf, high heeled boots and a tote bag.  I've actually worn these jeans a couple of times on this blog.  You can see how I styled these cord flares here, here , here and here. The last time I wore this shirt on the blog was in my last post. I actually wear it pretty often. The same goes for this hat with DIY elements, statement earrings and striped tote bag
I wore this outfit last weekend, before I got sick. I still have fever, but my test results show no sign of infection, so it's probably not a virus, just Chron disease making my life miserable again. My gastroenterologist found a lump while examining my stomach and suggested hospitalization, but I'll avoid it if I can. God knows I've spend enough of my life in hospitals. If I'm lucky, this will go away by itself. Meanwhile, I have to do all kinds of special tests and that is quite costly. So, yeah living with an immune disease sucks. We have had most beautiful weather lately, but I'm stuck inside with fever.  I do feel slightly better looking at these beautiful photographs. They were taken in village Gorance near Mostar. I do live in a beautiful area!

That would be all for today. In case you're interested in visiting Goranci village, I'll leave you links with my old posts.

As always, thank you for reading and visiting. Have a lovely day!

  9. I use to have cords 2 pair but they fell apart and I do not have any right now, a flared pair would be fun. I love this look the blazer and flared jeans look great together. Your fisherman's hat is having a moment in Europe, when I was in Paris my Parisian niece was all about this style of hat and bought one and I saw a lot of people wearing them.

  13. So sorry to hear you're still unwell and that your Crohn disease is rearing its ugly head. I do admire your tenacity, and I'm hearing you if you want to avoid going into hospital. As for your outfit, I can only agree with Vix in that it has a definite Seventies vibe. You styled those cords perfectly, and they look fabulous on you. In actual fact, I have recently bought a pair of wide-leg cords. I'm sure it will come as no surprise if I tell you that it is ... colourful ;-) Sending you healing vibes all the way from Belgium. 37. I love that you are staying true to the shop-your-closet motto! I do the same and it is more than enough. I also shop my mom's and sis' closets, lol! Sometimes, it's best to get real with ourselves if we want to contribute to less waste and more appreciation of existing clothing in our lives, don't you think? I'm glad we relate in this. You do live in a beautiful area. I enjoyed looking at your pictures with the horses and greenery. It's so scenic there! Your outfit is so chic! The high-waisted flares make you look extra taller than usual and I adore how that hat added a navy vibe to the whole look. I'm sorry to hear you're under the weather and the ailments that arise due to Crohn's disease. Always take gentle care of yourself. It's been rainy here and I've been feeling out of sorts but that's just because of my menses and now that it's about to be done, I'm feeling much better! Sending you love. xoxo

My dear friend Alex had/has Crohns and it is horrid- he had 2m of Intestine cut out! Your flared Cord are simply beautiful! They fit you so sumptuously- they are a stylish classic!!x

I especially love the photos of you with the horses! The high heels probably have not been very practical in the meadow, but it's a great style - and right, you look very tall :-)
I don't have black cord jeans but I have rusty brown cord trousers - they are perfect for autumn styles yo I will une them very soon.
Congrats that you finished the Slow Season Fashion Challenge successfully. Me too! :-) And like you I think I don't need new cloths in autumn or winter. May be I will visit the 2nd-Hand-Shop or Fleamarket, but I'm not sure about this. I think it's more fun to "shop" out of the own closet :-))
Hope you will get better, soon!!!

And I really like the photoshoot and the place you picked for it, it is so artistic and so refreshing.... the details of the flowers in your hands is the cherry on top for this styling.
