It's more than a year since I moved to Jelsa on island Hvar. I took a last minute job offer and I definitely didn't regret my decision. It all went well despite the fact that this was a challenging year for everyone. While I was here, I worked full time and even manage some free lance work. Now, that my work contract is over, I'll be moving back to Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Not before reflecting on my year in Jelsa on island Hvar, though! Today I'll show you five outfits I wore for exploring Jelsa on island Hvar. There will probably be more posts from island Hvar to come. Honestly, I have no idea how I find the time to blog sometimes, but somehow I always do. Maybe because I have such lovely readers who always leave me interesting comments. That definitely keeps me motivated to blog even after all this time and during busy or stressful periods of my life.
#1 MUSTRAD SWEATER WORN WITH NAVY FLARE PANTS AND LEOPARD HEELS
I love this kind of easy but chic autumn outfits. I wore it for a coffee date with my husband that turned into lunch date eventually as we were both hungry. Behind me you can see the lovely park. It was around noon when these photographs were taken. I didn't need a jacket because autumn in Jelsa is quite warm, especially on a summer day. I remember seeing tourists swimming on that particular day. I was warm and comfortable in my mustard yellow knit. The leopard heels are not meant for long walks, but for short outings, this pair is comfortable enough.
#2 A VINTAGE BLUE PLEATED SKIRT WORN WITH A YELLOW MUSTARD SWEATER, CAMEL BOOTS AND A BURGUNY JACKET
Bellow is another outfit in colours I love. You can see me sporting the same yellow sweater as in the first outfit. This time I paired it with a vintage blue pleated skirt, colourful leggings, burgundy jacket and camel boots. Lots of colour- just the way I like it. I wore this outfit later in the day, as the sun was already setting and it was getting colder. Hence, I wore this light coat. Had it been earlier in day, I wouldn't need a jacket. The wonders of Mediterranean climate! Once again, you can enjoy in images of beautiful Jelsa.

#3 A BLUE VINTAGE SKIRT WORN WITH A HAND PAINTED WHITE SHIRT, HAND MADE BAG AND SANDAL HEELS
This photograph was took during autumn in Jelsa. Hard to believe it, isn't it? We went for a walk because I had a pause between my classes. I remember it was very hot despite it being early Autumn. As you can see, I'm getting a lot of wear from this vintage pleated skirt. I'm sure I'll manage thirty wears before the end of the year.
#4 A BLUE DRESS PAIRED WITH STARTAS SNEAKERS AND A BLACK BAG
This is what I wore when I went for my late summer hikes around Jelsa. This dress is a summer purchase and I already figured out multiple ways to wear it--even in autumn. I'm looking forward to showing you multiple ways to wear this dress some day. As you know, I'm all about being sustainable by shopping one's closet. Meanwhile, aren't these views magical? Island Hvar is utterly beautiful. I enjoyed every minute of my stay here.
#5 A BROWN FAUX FUR AND LEATHER COAT WORN WITH WHITE SNEAKERS AND JOGGERS
I won't spend this winter in Jelsa, but I decided to thrown in one photograph from last Winter. It is still too warm to dress like this here, but when winter arrives, I plan to sport this kind of outfits for my hikes. I did go hiking whenever I could while I was living in Jelsa. With this kind of views, who could resist, right?
Thank you for reading and visiting. Have a nice day!
You are so inspirational with your time management Ivana. Especially that you are working full time and with all of the sketches you do AND books you read. Sometimes taking a chance on a job is so beneficial, so I'm glad this worked out for you.

DeleteHey Ivana, hope you had a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt is a bittersweet post since you are ending a stage of your life, but at the same time I imagine you are really proud of yourself in many senses. It is always amazing to have the chance to work in different environments, not only for the fact of knowing new places and people but it is a cultural challenge that takes a lot of courage and effort.... I am sure you definitely had a great time and you learned a lot, I can't believe it is a year, I remember when you shared the beginning of this adventure here on the blog.... so good luck coming back to Mostar :)
I love the blue pleated skirt, best way to keep some colour in this autumn!

ReplyDeleteJako jako mi se sviđa plisirana suknja, odlično ti stoji i super ju kombiniraš. Senf žuti pulover i smeđa kožna jakna, naravno. Odlično i iskoristila godinu.
Da, brzo je proletjela ova godina. :)
