Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers. How's life been treating you? My work life has been draining to say the least, I've been working long hours but I won't complain as in today's time we should only be grateful if we have a job. Moving onto the subject of today's post: I'll show you two outfits featuring graphic t-shirt. In fact, this is the garment I've been relying on lately: a printed t-shirt. Ever since the start of Autumn, I've been wearing a couple of short sleeved t-shirts printed with my original art. Graphic t-shirts are practical for Mediterranean autumn because it can still be quite warm here and really you never know when you'll need to take your blazer or jacket. I find graphic tees a really easy way to jazz up a look. These two t-shirts have been ordered from a local printer (as opposed to my Redbubble shop). Identical prints are available on t-shirts here and here.
THE STORY OF AN OUTFIT: WEARING A FASHION ILLUSTRATION
THE YELLOW BLAZER- I have recently made a post about
10 ways to style this yellow blazer, so you know it is a clothing item I often reach for. A yellow blazer is a great to infuse colour into your autumn outfits.
THE FASHION ILLUSTRATION T-SHIRT- This is the first time I wore this fashion illustration t-shirt. My husband recently brought a few of these tees with my art prints from a local printer. I placed my order some time ago, but didn't have the time to go pick it up myself. I already wore one of them a few days ago
here. This particular t-shirt has one of my fashion illustrations printed on it. The original illustration was done with watercolours and I still love it.
THE FLORAL SKIRT- This skirt has made a few appearances on my blog since I bought it and it will definitely appear again. I bought in in KiK store (a German chain of stores) in Stari Grad. Yes, it is a fast fashion purchase but I'm trying to make this item sustainable by wearing it often. There aren't any second hand shops on island Hvar so I do occasionally pick up something in regular stores if I really need it.
THE CARAMEL BOOTS- I devoted a special post to this pair of boots, showing more than
30 ways to wear them. I'm happy that I still can wear these boots as they are both comfortable and chic.
THE STORY OF THE LOCATION: STARI GRAD ON ISLAND HVAR
These images were taken in Stari Grad on island Hvar. As you know, I love this historical town.

THE STORY OF AN OUTFIT: PRINTED TEE, LEOPARD DENIM JACKET AND DARK JEANS
The second outfit I wore is something I wore for a walk. The denim jacket is again from KiK, the printed t-shirt with my illustration is from a local printer,
the black jeans are super old (from an outlet store if I recall well) and I don't remember where I picked
the beige moccasins from, but I had them for a while as well. This was a comfy look, something I can imagine wearing myself again.
THE STORY OF THE LOCATION: JELSA ON ISLAND HVAR
This is Jelsa, a charming village (often referred to as a little town on island Hvar). As some of you may know, I have been living here for more than a year! Soon I'll move again, but I'll get to call this little place my home until the end of this month and my work contract.

Thanks dear, it's lovely here.
DeleteYou couldn't have chosen a more fabulous backdrop than Stari Grad, I think the tourist board should employ you, we all want to visit after reading your blog.
ReplyDeleteThose graphic tee shirts fit into your Autumnal wardrobe perfectly and I always love seeing those fabulous brown boots. x
Thank you. I agree they should employ me:):).
DeleteYour graphic t-shirts printed with your own designs are a joy to behold. I'm particularly loving your first outfit, where you combined the t-shirt with that rose-print skirt and those fabulous graphic tights. The leopard print denim jacket in your second outfit would be a great addition to any wardrobe. Both the skirt and the jacket are proof that well-chosen fast fashion items can be sustainable. And it's always wonderful to see Stari Grad and Jelsa pop up as outfit photo locations. I'm sure you will miss Island Hvar very much when your contract ends. Wishing you lots of courage for the week ahead, Ivana xxx
ReplyDeleteYes, I will miss it.
DeleteHi again Ivana,
ReplyDeleteI am happy to read that you have work, I know it could be difficult to mix it up with creating content + rest + other life tasks, but you're doing it really good! I admire you for always finding the time to create beautiful art and interesting content.
And about the outfit I am in love with the blazer and the floral skirt, but more with the illustrated t shirt, it is so cool to see that you're wearing your own art and mixing it up with such a fashionable outfit! The best part is that it is sustainable and local produce since your husband found those t shirts at the local print!

Hey Fungi
Yes, at some point it occurred to me- why not order them from a local printer?
DeleteTwo amazing looks Ivana! Your self-painted shirts are great. You won't be surprised that I especially love the skirt with the cute floral print. ;-)
ReplyDeletexoxo Nadine <3
Thank you Nadine.
DeleteI'm sorry to hear that work has been draining but you are certainly keeping the right perspective as these are not the best times and people who have jobs are actually fortunate. These graphic tees featuring your artwork are so cute and I really like the outfits which you have styled them with. Graphic tees and blazers are one of my favorite pairings. I was wearing my graphic tees a lot when I was going to physical therapy as they make me happy.
ReplyDeleteThey make me happy too:). Yes, I can see how they would be the perfect thing to wear to physical therapy, both comfortable and uplifting.
DeleteI love that you are wearing your art, Ivana! These are both excellent looks featuring two superb paintings. That's quite a yacht behind you! Gorgeous scenery, as always!
ReplyDeleteLove both these graphic tees, Ivana, and how amazing that you are wearing your own illustrations!
ReplyDeleteAnd such beautiful settings as always!
