I WEAR MY PAINTINGS, STYLING A GRAPHIC TEE IN STARI GRAD
Today I have another autumn proposal featuring a graphic t-shirt. The print on this graphic t-shirt is a mixed media painting made by yours truly. Originally it was a watercolour painting of mine, but I transformed it into a digital art piece and uploaded it to my redbubble shop. However, the printed shirt I'm wearing today is from a local printer, not from RB. I was quite satisfied with the graphic t-shirts (with my art) that I ordered for my husband at this local printer, so I ordered some for myself. It is important to support local businesses in these times. A graphic tee is always a fun choice and a great way to dress down an outfit. Graphic tees are perfect to add rock or biker chic to our outfits. I wore this graphic t- shirt with a dusty pink skirt, a burgundy jacket, a tote bag and my 'to go' biker boots. All items I have had for a while and worn on this blog a number of times (because shopping our closets is the best way to be sustainable). This proved to be such a comfy styling and I enjoyed wearing it. Plus, I realized how great is to have one's own art printed. You get to wear colours you mixed and created yourself- how fun is that? I like how the pink tones on this space princess design match this pink skirt.
VISITING STARI GRAD TOWN- TRYING OUT RESTAURANT KOD BARBA LUKE
I wore this outfit for a visit to Stari Grad town. It was a sunny but somewhat windy day so this outfit proved perfect for sightseeing. We also stopped for lunch at a local restaurant Kod barba Luke (not a sponsored link) where I (besides a tasty lunch lunch) had their famous dessert - the wild orange cake. It was great! I imagine it would be great to have a glass of sweet wine with a cake like this one, but as I don't drink alcohol I had an espresso instead.

BAY BRIZENICA NEAR STARI GRAD, ISLAND HVAR
Before strolling around Stari Grad, we also went hunting for new bays near Stari Grad town and discovered a gem. It is my mission to discover the most beautiful bays on island Hvar. It is proving more challenging than I thought. Almost weekly, I discover some stunning bay with enchanting views and crystal clear water. So many gorgeous bays, so little time! I can't believe there are so many bays on island Hvar that I didn't know of. Having spent a good portion of my childhood here, I thought I knew more about this place that I did. I didn't know there was so much to do and see here. I think that you need a whole year to properly see this island, or at least two months.
Anyhow, Brizenica bay is absolutely magical. I'm so happy I visited this bay while it is still untouched by any construction work and completely wild and natural, because there are investors who plan to build a luxurious hotel resort here. I heard that this area was purchased by the Four Seasons group, so I'm not sure how long it will continue to be a virgin beach and bay. Brizenica bay absolutely enchanted me. This bay has great protection against the wind, the sun hits just at the right angle so I was able to take of my boots and do some barefoot hiking. That's Autumn in Croatia for you. Wear a jacket but be ready to take it off.

DeleteThe "space princess" t-shirt turned out really well, and I love how you combined it with your dusty pink skirt, burgundy jacket and biker boots. The perfect outfit to visit both Stari Grad town and Brizenica bay. I can't believe you found yet another gem of a bay and, following your blog, I can well believe it would take at least a couple of months to fully explore Island Hvar. No wonder you are making the most of the time you are living there. The wild orange cake you had as dessert looks truly scrumptious, and as I do not drink alcohol either, I would have opted for espresso as well! Wishing you a great week ahead, Ivana xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you! There really are so many wonderful bays here, it's hard to show them all:).
DeleteI'm really sad to hear that about the luxury hotel- why do they have to monopolize any beautiful place- why not let it stay natural and beautiful and allow small businesses to enjoy it. Your t-shirt is lovely- I like the spacey background of it and her funky space dust dress! So pretty!x
ReplyDeleteThank you Kezzie.
DeleteThis is so absolutely amazing!! What a great idea to put your artwork on a tshirt, and she's such a stunner, I'm in love with her dreamy eyes <3

DeleteSuch a cute outfit, Ivana - that digitally-transformed painting makes a great graphic tee with those bright colours. I like the pairing with the skirt and boots, and of course the tough jacket, but I enjoyed watching you get more casual on the rocks! That cake looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sheila, I hope you have had a nice week.
