FASHION BLOGGER OFF DUTY OUTFITS: JELSA, CROATIA

Today I'm sharing two 'fashion blogger off duty outfits' with you. This is the kind of outfits I wear when I go hiking: comfy and warm. Furthermore, I'm going to show you more views of Jelsa village, taken from both sides of the bay this little port village is situated in. The nature surrounding Jelsa is truly beautiful. Following the coastal pathways, you can hike both left and right to discover enchanting bays and untouched nature. You can also hike the green hills this island has to over. Hvar is also known as the green island. It is covered in pine tree forest so walking here will do wonders for your lungs. You know I'm a bit believer in benefits of hiking and spending time outdoors. Weekends are perfect for going  for a long walk. It is always good to be proactive about our health.

WHAT TO SEE AND DO IN JELSA?
EN As you can see, Jelsa is a beautiful little place. What to see in Jelsa? There are certainly quite a few beautiful and historical attractions to see here. To start, why not visit the old city (Civitas Vetus Ielsae)? The old city of Jelsa (where part of the defensive wall is also preserved) is definitely worth a visit! There are also many beautiful churches to see: the church of the Saint Mary of Health (built in 1535), the church of San Roch (built in the second half of the 16th century), the church of Saint Michael (built in 1463). In Jelsa you can also find one of the largest is the most beautiful parks in Dalmatia - Perivoj, built in 1870.

IT Come potete vedere, Jelsa è un bel posticino. Cosa vedere a Jelsa?

MY PREVIOUS POSTS ABOUT JELSA
For more photographs and information about Jelsa, visit my previous posts:
From Jelsa you an also enjoy the view of Croatia costal lights. When it gets dark, you can see the lights of Makarska city shining in the distance. You can also see island Brač. As I pointed out, the views here are really great. That is one of the things I like about island Hvar. It offers  amazing views and panoramas in all directions.  You can have your pick!

My first hiking outfit proposal was quite sporty, all about those chunky sneakers and active wear. My second outfit proposal is less sporty and a bit more casual combo of jeans, boots and a green tartan puffer jacket. I also added in a shawl (here I tied it like an oversize scarf but it is really more a shawl then a scarf because it is very wide- and that's the difference between a scarf and a shawl I believe). Sometimes when I'm hiking I like to wear boots. Here you can read my post about how to dress feminine in winter even when you're going hiking. Anyhow, both of these outfits are composed of items I had for a long time. I don't have time to link them all up right now, but you have probably seen them on my blog so perhaps there is no need for me to link them just to prove the obvious.
5 HEALTH BENEFITS OF GOING FOR A WALK OR A HIKE IN NATURE
If you want to be healthier or get back into shape and are looking for some inspiration, perhaps the health benefits of walking and hiking can be the motivation you need to get back on track. Indeed, there are many health benefits of going for a walk in the nature. Some of the benefits of going for a walk in nature can include:
1. Digital detox and resting our eyes:
Resting our eyes from the screens is pretty important and what better way to do it than by taking in some beautiful landscape in?
2. Physical activity and exercise:
A slow walk is appropriate even for the elderly and chronically ill. Physical activity is an important aspect of overall health preservation and maintenance.
3. No noise often means less stress:
Resting our ears might be as important as resting our eyes. Don't underestimate the effect of silence. In addition, nature sounds like the sound of the creek or the bird song can have a relaxing effect on many.
4. Fresh air: therapy for our lungs
Fresh air is obviously beneficial for our lungs and overall health. Spending time outdoors can lower the changes of depression.
5. Inspiration and mental relaxation
Nature can be a great way to find inspiration. This doesn't only apply to artists or people working in creative field. A change of scenery is a good way to change our routine, which in turn can also mean a lower chance of developing depression. Walking can have a positive influence on our mental health.

What do you like to do during weekends? Do you like to go out for a walk? Do you enjoy psychical activity and exercise? Do you believe that spending time outdoors can be beneficial for our health. Do you have some area you enjoy hiking in? Do you have any hiking recommendations to share? What does your typical weekend look like? Do you have a weekend routine or do you like to improvise? Does it ever seem to you that the weekend flies by too fast? Do you have any tips for making it seem longer? I think it is good to take some time for ourselves. Even if there are many chores that we have to do during our weekend, just taking half an hour for ourselves can make them feel less overwhelming. Well, that would be all.
That would be all for today. As always, thank you for your feedback, visiting and comments, they are always appreciated. You can see some of my art prints and posters inspired by Adriatic here and here

  4. Jelsa looks like a gorgeous place to visit. Great comfy looks! Silence is a beautiful thing. Usually I have music playing while working but sometimes I will be working for 2 hours straight before I realize I am not listening to anything.
