Today we'll continue with my series devoted to finding the most beautiful bays on island Hvar. Despite spending much of my childhood on island Hvar, there are many of them that I had only discovered this year. On this particular day (some time last summer), we were driving away from Stari Grad town, trying to find new places and bays near it. We ended driving until we lost the radio signal. We drove for about 10 kilometers, until we came until the end of cape Kabal. There we discovered this beautiful bay Lozna. It is located on the northern side. Isn't it simply amazing? With nobody in sight, we had the beach all to ourselves. There isn't a single house in this bay. If you're looking for a perfect virginal beach, this is a great location. Actually, Lozna bay isn't the only bay with this name on island Hvar. There is another beautiful bay that shares the same name. I promise I'll take you to another Lozna bay but some other time. Scroll down to see more of this stunning bay that offers view of island Brač.
WHAT I WORE- WHAT WE WORE
I wore
a cherry print dress, a
hand painted vintage tote bag,
a hat and
a pair of sandals. I also borrowed my husband's tee for some of these photos. Maybe you recognize the print of my t-shirt? It is my own painting. I ordered this t-shirt from a local printer. The last t-shirt with my art I ordered for my husband was from Redbubble site. Now, I'm trying out something new and ordering t-shirts with my art from a local printer. So far I'm satisfied with the quality. The t-shirts from Redbubble are of better quality as far as the print goes, but the local printer is more affordable and you can take t-shirt you already have to him. Well, that's more sustainable than having new t-shirt manufactured for the purpose of printing. Let me know if you would want a more detailed review and experience. As you know, I put my art in shops in some of these printing online companies but I'm not affiliated in any way to any of them.

DeleteYou are in the water! Wow! Here is too cold for something like that. You look lovely in the cherry dress and I also love the bag with the book design on it.
ReplyDelete<3 Thank you. I painted a few old tote bags with similar motifs.
DeleteSuch beautiful waters! Looking fabulous together! Awesome outing! Love that hat too!

DeleteHow utterly stunning is that bay, and it must have been wonderful having it all to yourself. Reading your blog, I really believe Island Hvar has an endless supply of picturesque places like this. It's lovely to see your wonderful cherry print dress again, as it always puts a smile on my face. I'm loving the hat with the scarf tied around it too. Obviously I am in awe of your book bag (so true) and I did recognize the print on that t-shirt. It's good that you have been experimenting with finding more sustainable ways to have your art printed on t-shirts. And finally, I love that photo of you and your husband! Wishing you a lovely week ahead, Ivana! xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you. I removed the photo because my husband asked me to, but I think it's a cute photo of us too. :) I have a few vintage and old tote bags that I painted with textile paints and I love them.
DeleteAmazing photos. Once this world is back to normal and we have control over the virus, I will be visiting Hvar <3

DeleteThat bay is absolutely stunning, it's so like a beach I adore in Corfu with crystal clear water and honeyed pebbles. Lovely to see you both together, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you've found a printer who can print your designs on tee shirts you already own. Jon loves printed tees and keeps saying he wants to try one of those home printing transfer kits so he can add his own designs. xxx
Oh, I wasn't aware things existed. I need to look up those home printing transfer kits. I sometimes paint on clothes, but it would be great having a printed like that, especially for gifts!
DeleteWow, what a beautiful place! And the absence of crowds makes it even nicer. There are many places we overlook despite spending time near them. It's smart, as you are doing, to explore all around us. Plus, the cherry-print dress is adorable. You're as pretty as a model in an advertisement.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes, the absence of crowds is amazing.
DeleteNice photos for a great review :))

OMG, Lozna Bay is so beautiful! The crystal clear water is very tempting and I hope it was still warm. You look adorable in the cherry print dress. I also love the shirt printed with your painting.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
xxxxx Nadine <3
Thank you. These photos were taken about a month ago and yes then it was still warm.
DeleteThe water is so clear it reminds me of the quarries I knew of as a kid that were far from any sea in our land locked area back in the Texas hill country!
ReplyDeleteThanks ellie
DeleteAh, that's a wonderful bay- what blue, clear sea! And all to yourself too. Did you swim at all or just paddle?
ReplyDeleteI like your tote-ally cool bag!
The t-shirt with your design looks good and I like the idea of taking a t-shirt you already had!
just paddled, but my husband swam and enjoyed it.
DeleteHow fabulous that you were the only two there Ivana!! Talk about a perfect day.

Thanks Marisa.
DeleteIt looks you had a lovely day at Lozna bay. How wonderful that you had the place to yourself as well. The location looks so scenic and it's nice that the water is so clear.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rowena, I did.
DeleteHello Ivana,
ReplyDeleteSo cool that you're still able to enjoy some days at the coast, that's magnificent! Here the temperatures fell immediately and we had to pull of some jackets to survive the first days of rain and cold temperatures.
I love how breathtaking is Lozna bay, the color of the water is so clear and magical that it almost feels like a fairytale or something impossible to believe.
PS: So nice that you picked the cherry garment to add a little bit of colorful contrast to the scenario that day!

DeleteOh my goodness, I feel like I'm always repeating myself when you do these posts, but what a gorgeous place you live in, Ivana! It really looks like home to me - how funny that the west coast of Canada is so similar to Island Hvar!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your cherry dress - so fun! Glad you have found a local resource for your art-print tees!
Isn't it amazing how they are similar? The mountain areas are also quite alike!
