Split once again / Još jednom Split

Today's post is really just a sequel to the last one titled Swans in Split city. I moved only slightly ( 5 minute walk from the famous promenade i.e. Riva) to show you another view of the Split city. Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Split.
Once again.
Always.
Forever.
Beauty inscribed in stone.
History that can be touched.
Gorgeousness that can be inhaled.
The smell of sea air.
The calls of seagulls.
The modern and the ancient.
The old and the new.
Split.
Always.
Forever.

Split.
Još jednom.
Uvijek.
Zauvijek.
Ljepota upisana u kamen.
Povijest koja se može dodirnuti.
Prekasnost  koja se može udahnuti.
Miris mora.
Zov galeba.
Moderno i drevno.
Staro i novo.
Split.
Uvijek.
Zauvijek.

Split.
Where my heart was broken.
Where I broke hearts.
Split.
Always.
Forever.

Split.
Gdje mi je srce slomljeno.
Gdje sam lomila srca.
Split.
Uvijek.
Zauvijek.

POST UPDATE 2025- FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO READ MORE ABOUT SPLIT CITY.

You might know or not know this, but I'm somewhat of an artist.

SEE HOW I ILLUSTRATED AND PAINTED SPLIT BEFORE (by following the links below):

MORE ABOUT HISTORY OF SPLIT (CITED FROM https://visitsplit.com/en/398/the-history-of-split

The history of Split

The history of Split is over-flowingly rich and turbulent to fit in just a couple of sentences. Although the Split area was earlier inhabited by the Greek colonies, Emperor Diocletian should be considered its first citizen and founder, starting his lavish villa of around 300 square meters near the great city of Salona in 293 AD, only to retire from the Roman throne within its walls after building it for ten years......

Time for another link update.
I regularly update my old posts to promote fashion sustainability.

THE BLACK COAT (TALLY WEIJL)- I still wear it in 2025, in fact I have worn it over 100 times!

A PAIR OF BLACK SKINNY JEANS (no name)

Moments ago I wore that if I recall well, this pair of jeans was a gift. I stand corrected. I checked the first part of this post and realized they were borrowed. So, maybe I borrowed them from my mother? She wears skinny jeans often. I'm not sure how often I wore or borrowed this pair. At any rate, I don't have this pair anymore. Neither does she. I think we donated them or something like that.

Here is another post featuring this pair:

A PAIR OF BLACK BOOTS (can't remember the brand)

This pair of faux leather boots fell apart the second time I wore them. Well, it didn't exactly fall apart, but the faux leather kept falling off.  It's a shame for the pair is very warm and comfortable. I tried painting them over multiple times but every layer of paint keeps falling off. Faux leather is not that good for the environment in the long run. It shreds and it creates a mess. It is hard to patch.
Anyway, this is the first time I wore this pair of black boots:

DIY STATEMENT FAUX LEATHER NECKLACE WITH COOKIES

Do you know what happened to this necklace made from left over Christmas cookies, faux leather, nail polish and acrylic paint? It was eaten by bread bugs. Really! The paint didn't stop them. How surprising!
Still, I managed to wear it a couple of times before that happened. See how I styled it for a feminine look below:

See this post to find out how I made this cookie necklace:

Below you can see a photograph of me and my husband taken with a self-timer and our old camera.

I love how on this photograph you can see an old couple walking behind us.
Maybe a promise we will grow old together?
My blog wouldn't be the same without my photographer husband.
Thank you husband!
