TWO MORE WAYS TO WEAR A LONG SLEEVED GREY DRESS (SPLIT CITY)

Hello readers! How are you doing? I came back to Split city (for work reasons) last Friday. I'm not sure how long I will stay here, it depends entirely on my work contract. Naturally, I'm always happy to be back in my beautiful home town. It seems I'm not the only one, as there still are tourists around. Anyhow, today I will show you two more ways to style this simple long sleeved grey dress. I've had this comfortable 'bellow the knee' dress for a few years and on overall found it really practical. I love that it is an item that can be worn all year around and that is exactly what I did. In a recent post, I showed you three ways to wear this grey dress.  In this post from 2020, I showed you additional thirteen ways to style it and in this post from 2021 two more winter outfits with it. I also wore this grey dress with a faux fur coat while I shared some reading recommendations. I think I'm getting close to 30 wears with this one and that's great because then it will be a sustainable purchase.

OUTFIT NUMBER #1 - WORN WITH BURGUNDY TIGHTS, A YELLOW BAG AND BEIGE LOAFERS
Last Friday I wore it in the morning to take care of some chores. For my morning outfit, I paired this dress with with beige loafers, burgundy tights and a yellow bag. A comfortable outfit for what proved to be a busy morning.I was a bit hot in the tights in the morning, but I was happy to have them on in the afternoon. Anyhow, isn't Split always gorgeous? Here are some links in case you want to know more about it.

OUTFIT NUMBER #2- WORN WITH BURGUNDY TIGHTS, A TURQUOISE NECKLACE, A YELLOW AND GREEN BELTED SCARF, A YELLOW BAG AND BLACK ANKLE HEELED BOOTS

This was an outfit I wore in the afternoon for a lunch date in restaurant Asia with my husband. Similar to the first 'morning' outfit, this look had more accessories. I belted this scarf and I'm happy with how it looked. My stomach is swollen because my Chron disease is flaring so this combo worked well to hide that. The heeled ankle boots were a good choice too, but alas this was the last time I wore them. Yes, this pair is no more- it has fallen apart. It's fine really, as I worn this pair often enough in the past.

Thank you for reading and visiting.

  1. Ivana I'm crossing my fingers for you to get that contract, it's always good to go back to our origins! I'm struggling to get 30 ways to wear...
I liked the most to see you with the scarf on your belt, it was very elegant in addition to the function of hiding your belly!

  5. A great basic wardrobe piece, this dress looks fabulous on you. I'm not surprised you've worn it so much, Ivana - it really does go with everything. I really love the yellow with it, and the addition of the turquoise really makes the second look sing (I LOVE that necklace!). Sorry to hear that your boots fell apart, but now you can invest in a good quality pair with the goal of wearing THEM out! :)

Have a wonderful week, my dear friend! I hope you feel better soon. *hug*

  11. Hello, dearest Ivana!
It's really great how different the dress looks with the accessories. You have created two great looks - and I am particularly thrilled that the belted scarf makes the dress look like a completely new, different piece of clothing.

I have a dress similar to yours, long-sleeve gray. But mine I don't have many opportunities to wear because it's more chic.

  22. What a shame about the boots. It's hard to let go the comfortable ones, especially when they have high heels. But you had them for a long time, so it was worth getting them. The dress is stunning and I like how easily you changed it. Fab!!

  23. A sua elegância e beleza são inquestionáveis.
As meias que usou protegeram-na do frio, mas deram ao conjunto um ar mais pesado.

  30. Hi again dear Ivana,

Good luck with your stay in Split! Hope you get the best out of it!

Now talking about the fashion report in this outfit I always congratulate you for the way you push us to train and practice our creative when it comes to wear our clothes in different ways! Many people tend to think that grey is a boring color but the truth is that it seems to me like a white canvas where the possibilities are endless and you can mix it with almost any color! I like the way you added explosive colors in some of the proposals, making the gray contrasting and serving as the background for your outfits!

I also loved the yellow bag! Such a funny way to add a pop of colour to this long sleeved grey top!
