I LOVE SPLIT CITY (TWO EARLY AUTUMN OUTFITS)

 Hello readers! Today I will share with you two early autumn outfits. They look more like summer outfits, though. The weather has been warm this Autumn so far. We're expecting some rain today but up to now the weather has been quite summery and so have my outfits. As you know, I'm currently in my home city Split (Croatia). I do love strolling this city. Autumn strolls can be especially rewarding. There's something melancholic and sweet about that time when Summer gives way to Autumn. 


OUTFIT NUMBER #1- A ONE SHOULDER BLUE DRESS WITH STUDS WORN UNDER A PINK FLORAL SKIRT AND PAIRED WITH A MINI CROSS OVER BAG AND BEIGE LOAFERS

Once again I tried the 'wear a dress as a top' tricky. You can see how I wore this blue dress with an olive blazer here.  When it comes to the pastel pink skirt I wore it with, I think it's vintage (I'm pretty sure it belonged to my mother). I wasn't able to track this skirt in my blog archives despite being certain that I wore it before.  This skirt is my nod to 'pink October', that is the movement of wearing more pink items in October to promote breast cancer awareness. This was a fun outfit to wear!



OUTFIT NUMBER #2- WHITE AND BLUE TUNICS PAIRED WITH A PAIR OF LEOPARD LEGGINGS, WHITE SANDALS, CROSSOVER BAG AND ACCESSORIZED WITH A STATEMENT NECKLACE
I often pair this white and white tunics with leggings, jeggings and/or pants. I've had this pair of leopard leggings for as long as I had this blog- and that's a long time. This was the first time I paired this leggings with this tunics, though. This tunics a bit short to be worn on its own, expect if it is to the beach. Well, this time I wore it to the beach but it was for a coffee date and not for swimming. I've closed my swimming season. Not that I managed to do much swimming this summer because my health was bad. However, I can still enjoy the sea breeze and being at the beach. The beach in question here is Žnanj, a great place to hand out any time of the wear.

    Hello Ivana, I hope you're having a nice beginning of the season!

    Same as you I feel a strange melancholia once the weather starts to change, but I have to say i kinda like that feeling and I adore the coziness of autumn, where the weather at least is perfect since a sweater or a light jacket is enough to survive. But I think it was a nice idea to bring a bit of the summer to the first days of autumn with outfits that remind me a little bit of summer days. The blue in both options is incredible but I really love the first one!

    I didn't imagine that the upper part was in fact a dress, but there you have more options to wear this garment and expand its possibilities!

    Oh, that off the shoulder is so popular here..well, not here here..in the heartland of the states. We are pretty much in track suit season, but I see looks like this trending...at least online. But practically sweater weather here. Wonderful outfits! Yes, leggings and tunics are my go to and lot more long sleeves here.

    Anche a me piace molto passeggiare in autunno: non fa più così tanto caldo come in estate ma è ancora caldo abbastanza da star bene con i vestiti leggeri. E così mi sembra anche di riuscire a sfruttare al meglio il sole ed il bel tempo prima che inizi a far freddo!
    E, dato che sono una grande amante dell'estate, per me più tempo posso mettere i vestiti estivi, meglio è, quindi trovo davvero intelligenti le tue soluzioni!
    Mi piacciono molto entrambi i look, ma forse il primo un pochino di più per via dello scollo asimmetrico del top/vestito che rende tutto più particolare!

    I guess since you're in Split you got the contract, that's good for you!
    It's also very hot here to wear these clothes of yours, I confess that this trick of wearing a dress as a top I've never done, but I've been seriously tempted to do it. I liked the first look better. I also really like your animal print leggings, and it feels good on the beach, right?

    Your nod to pink october look is so fun and feminine. I really like it and the one with your leopard leggings made me smile as I have something similar too but the waist band had became loose. It's pretty hot here today so leggings are a no. I'm sorry to hear that you could not swim because of your health. I hope you're taking good care of yourself.     I love the time when Summer slowly but surely makes way for Autumn, although preferably not when it's rainy and windy as it has been here in Belgium for the last couple of days.

    I love that the days are still warm, but the nights are cool - this is my favourite time of year. I've done the dress under skirt trick myself - that's a really cool dress, and such a pretty skirt. I hate it when I can't find something on my blog!

    I definitely remember you saying that gorgeous pink skirt belonged to your mum. It's so lovely and floaty and it reminds me of a dress worn by Maria Von Trapp in the Sound of Music. It looks amazing with the one shoulder top- you look really glamorous, yet comfortable!

Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! How are you today? I'm back with another Ursula K. Le Guin book review. In this post, I'll review " Forgiveness Day" , a science fiction novella that is a part of the Hainish Circle. Published in 1995, "Forgiveness Day " won multiple awards. This novella is often published together with her other novellas from the Hainish Circle, and it can be find in various editions of Four Ways to Forgiveness and Five Ways to Forgiveness.   Thematically, this novella is a part of five stories featuring two Hainish planets, but it can definitely be read on its own. I think it functions well as a stand alone novella. I listened to it in audio form, and I didn't have any problems following the story.  The world building is simple and effective.
