Pink October (outfit post)/ Rozi listopad

I'm back with another outfit in honour of Pink October. As you might know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Basically, the point is to wear something pink (and post it) to raise Breast Cancer awareness. Both of my grandmother's had and survived breast cancer. Early detention is key and can save lives. Wearing something pink is a very positive and simple way to spread awareness.

This pink dress is one of my favourite ones. Its print is a mix of floral and leo, which is an ideal mix for me. You know that I love mixing prints, right? Well, this dress mixes us patterns for me. I accessorized with a DIY necklace. I enjoy making my own necklaces and jewellery. When you make something yourself, you know it's unique. I finished my outfit with a big purple scarf, a red bag and a pair of pointy ankle boots.

The structure behind me is Mostar's hydropower plant.

Ova haljina mi je jedna od najdražih. Njen je uzorak mješavina cvjetnoga i leopard uzorka, što je ako me poznajete, idealna kombinacija za mene. Znate da volim pomješati uzorke, zar ne? U ovoj haljini su već pomješani za mene. Tu je i ogrlica koju sam sama napravila. Kao što možda znate, volim praviti nakit.

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month was founded in 1985 in partnership between the American Cancer Society and the pharmaceutical division of Imperial Chemical Industries (now part of AstraZeneca, producer of several anti-breast cancer drugs). The aim of the NBCAM from the start has been to promote mammography as the most effective weapon in the fight against breast cancer.

In 1993 Evelyn Lauder, Senior Corporate Vice President of the Estée Lauder Companies, founded the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and established the pink ribbon as its symbol, though this was not the first time the ribbon was used to symbolize breast cancer.
