FRIDAY FASHION ILLUSTRATION: FASHION ILLUSTRATOR AT WORK

Hello dear readers! How are you doing? I'm working hard on new art projects. It's Friday today and that means I'll share some of my new fashion illustration projects with you. Friday fashion illustration is a regular feature on my blog where I share my fashion illustrations and other art related projects.  You know that I like to experiment with fashion illustration. Today you'll see some of my new experiments. That being said,  all  of my fashion illustrations in this post have a common theme: 'fashion illustrator at work.'

I had this cool idea of drawing a fashion illustrator at work (behind her desk), so I drew a marker sketch. I ended up liking this concept so much that I drew several version of the same motive. I drew  two versions with a purple marker and one with a pencil. I did not stop there, though. I uploaded these sketches to my laptop and painted them digitally using Paint 3D. I ended up with several digital versions of 'Fashion illustrator at work'. I think it's such a cute concept and I might work on it some more. The fun part of this design is that I can add my own fashion illustrations to it. Isn't that cool? Anyhow, the outfit of the day is just something I wore this month, I'll talk about it some other time because today we're talking illustrations.

SOME OLD LINKS IN CASE YOU WANT TO CHECK MORE OF MY ART:

I'm more of a traditional media artist, but I want to learn more about digital art, so I have been practicing. It's hard for me to tell whether digital art is for me. It seems to me that in art you have to invest a few months or years into a medium to see whether you can master it. I still haven't even attempted working in real 'digital art' projects, but I'm warming up to the idea. We'll see where life takes me.
FASHION ILLUSTRATOR AT WORK #1- DIGITAL COLOURING
I actually shared a few images of this illustration here, but I didn't finish it then. Now, it is all finished. I might colour it anew but for now it is finished.
ORIGINAL MARKER SKETCH FOR FASHION ILLUSTRATOR AT WORK

FASHION ILLUSTRATOR AT WORK #2, MARKER SKETCH- I really have a lot of ideas for colouring this one digitally. As you can see, I made so many versions of it. I don't know how to draw digitally, but someone colouring my sketches works out.

FASHION ILLUSTRATOR AT WORK #3 :PENCIL DRAWING AND SKETCH - This is a pencil sketch that I didn't managed to finish. I might colour it as well. I even drew Mostar in the background on this one. Seeing this sketch makes me realize that I need to invest into better quality coloured pencils, though.

There is actually another pencil sketch that I'm working on. I haven't finished it yet, but I might add some digital touches eventually. The third one (the pencil sketch) you can see above is still unfinished) and so is the fourth one- the one you yet have to see.

COMPARISON: MARKER ILLUSTRATIONS (ORIGINAL) VS. DIGITAL VERSIONS

  8. I find your art fascinating! I find it strange to think that you don't think of yourself as a digital artist, because I really do associate you with that now! I like the poses behind the desk. I do think good quality pencils are important. I bought CBC a lovely set for his birthday and some teenage girl at his school stole them!!!!!!!!!! I bought him another set but I couldn't believe it!

    1. About 99.9 art I make is traditional, I don't even have the tools for digital, I'm just improvising. Even my digital art is mostly traditional art that has just been edited on my laptop not real digital art. I like digital art, but I've been working in traditional medias for so long I'm not sure I can make a switch.

  23. If you're used to creating art with traditional materials, I can imagine digital art must be quite different. It's really cool how you're combining both techniques in your pieces.

  26. Hey Ivana, I hope you're doing good!

First of all I hope all is going well with health and with your artistic projects. I love to see you using many techniques and materials that are always new in your field. I know you love to draw fashion, and I loved to see that now you illustrated fashion but in a different environment: work space. I felt related with this allure since I've been in my house working for over a year. It feels nice to see you portrait that :)

On the other hand I liked the outfit, it is like a beginning to say hi to spring and start embracing warmer days.

Also combining digital with traditional materials may seem rare at the beginning, but the thing I like the most is that the possibilities to create new stuff are endless when you decide to combine these two techniques, anyways I'd say the traditional part and feel the ink in your fingers will never be replaced, but digital offers new amazing possibilities. Good luck with it!

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism. Naravno da mi puno znači što ste uzeli vrijeme da nešto napišete, pa makar to bila i kritika. Per me le vostre parole sono sempre preziose anche quando si tratta di critiche.
