21 WAYS TO WEAR A BLACK LEATHER JACKET

 Spring is near (it already arrived here in Mostar). When I think of Spring, there is one item that immediately comes to my mind and that is a classical leather jacket. Today I'll show you 21 ways to style a classical black leather jacket, from dressy to casual options. If you don't wear real leather, a faux leather jacket will do quite nicely as well.  I have this vintage leather jacket that I like to pull out once it gets a bit warmer but before it gets too warm. A leather jacket can be such a perfect transitional piece, wouldn't you agree? I'm very attached to this vintage item. My husband received it as a gift from his late brother more than thirty years ago. I feel so lucky to be able to wear it, for both practical (it's a high quality leather jacket) and sentimental reasons. As I always say, there are many benefits to shopping your closet. I genuinely do enjoy thinking of different ways to wear an item. It's not just about sustainability, I have fun shopping my closet. Moreover, I also enjoy shopping my husband's closet. If you have a significant other or a friend that doesn't mind you borrowing clothes from them, they you're truly lucky. 

FIVE REASONS WHY WEARING A LEATHER JACKET IS A GREAT IDEA!


1. It can be worn with everything. Seriously, with anything! Name one other item that can be worn with joggers and a gown without making you look like a crazy person?  Can you think of anything? I can't. A trench coat comes close, but if you wear a trench coat with your gym clothes you won't look as cool as you would be if you worn them with the leather jacket.

2. It looks fantastic on both genders. It does! It is one sole items that I equally adore to see on both men and women. A good leather jacket is not only timeless, it is unisex. This is good news because you can steal it from your sweetheart. You can share it! How romantic!

3. It is the perfect item to get any outfit dressed down. It really is. Like I explained in my first point, wearing a leather jacket makes any outfit more cool and effortless. Pair it with a dress and heels (or dressy shoes) to look both feminine and fierce. 

4. From a strictly practical point of view, a leather jacket blocks wind. It really keeps you protected against the wind (that was its prime function back in the day). It is also a great protection against the sun ( I see some of you thinking WHAT? but when you live in a region when sun can gets quite intense, you get it). When a day is hot and sunny yet windy,  it may be all that is standing between you and catching a bad cold.

5. You might get confused for a rock star. ( And who doesn't want that?!!!!) I mean does this clothing item has that badass vibe or what? Invoke your inner rebel. Wear it with pride. Rock it. Own it. Leather jacket can be a very powerful clothing item when you wear it with the right attitude.

    I have a faux leather black moto jacket with embroidery and many other cloth versions of this style, plus I have my full collection of leather jackets too! I agree on wind and sun, but they are also very good in the rain (especially with real leather - it's just skin!). You're so right - they can go from day to night with ease. I don't think there is anything that this classic jacket DOESN'T go with! Some awesome badass looks here, Ivana! You are styling the heck out of it!

In this post, I'll review " Forgiveness Day" , a science fiction novella that is a part of the Hainish Circle. Published in 1995, "Forgiveness Day " won multiple awards. This novella is often published together with her other novellas from the Hainish Circle, and it can be find in various editions of Four Ways to Forgiveness and Five Ways to Forgiveness.   Thematically, this novella is a part of five stories featuring two Hainish planets, but it can definitely be read on its own.
