Short hair, don't care (drawing of the day )Kratka kosa, nije me briga...(.crtež dana)

How do you feel about short hair? Do you like it or not? I've always loved short hair, I'm just not sure it looks good on me. Long hair is so much easier to maintain, not to mentioned how pricy those weekly visits to hairdresser can be. If one is wearing a pixie or a really short hairdo, it means visiting your hair stylist at least once in two weeks. If you're thinking about cutting your hair really short, find a good hairdresser because you'll be seeing a lot of her or him. The last time I had really short hair was when I was 13, so that's quite a time ago. I can't say that I've been thinking of cutting my hair short lately (I guess I'm just a long hair kind of girl), but I've been thinking about short hairdos a lot.  Some girls really rock that short hair look! Basically, I find short hairdos to be quite inspirational, hence the drawing of the day.  A girl with short hair and glasses. I don't draw hairdos often, but I've always loved hair styling so it's not really surprising that I wanted to draw a certain hair style. So, today instead of a fashion illustration, I'm sharing a fashion hairdo. A portrait of a short haired girl. Did you ever consider getting a short hairdo? If yes, what kind? There are indeed so many different short hairdos. I guess that is what fascinates me the most. I think that it is important that a short hair is a matter of choice. You should wear short hair if that is what you want and what you like. The same goes for long hair. Embrace the hair style that makes you feel most like yourself. Forget about the rules. You can have long hair in your sixties. Likewise, you can have short hair whenever you feel like it. Hair is very important to us ladies and that is why it is important that it matches our personality and desires. Do you agree?

Uglavnom, baš me nešto nadahnjuju kratke frizure i tako dolazimo do crteža dana. Portret djevojke s kratkom kosom. Jeste li vi ikad razmišljali ili razmišljale o kratkoj frizuri? Ako da kakvoj? Doista postoji toliko različitih kratkih frizura. Valjda me to toliko i fascinira.

WHAT DRESS TO CHOOSE THIS AUTUMN? SPECIAL OCCASION OUTFIT IDEAS

As I mentioned in one of my last post, I'm already thinking about what I might wear for all those festive occasions that are coming up. Autumn and Winter both have its fair share of festivities. Our social calendar can be quite busy this time of year with all the meetings, events, festivities, celebrations, family and work parties. Some of these social occasions come with a black tie dress code, so I decided to prepare some outfit ideas.  A bit of formal wear inspiration for  my readers. All of these photographs were taken the day before yesterday. We're enjoying a rather warm Autumn in Herzegovina but these outfits I'm sharing can be easily be adapted for colder weather. Just throw a warm coat or a blazer over them, and that would be that.  That's what I plan to do once it gets colder. Anyhow, all four dresses I'll be sharing with you today are from Rosegal. This is my second collaboration with this site, if you want you can have a look at my first one here. With…

Fashion Illustration Friday: Inspired by Colours of Autum

Time for another Fashion Illustration Friday talk. We'll talk autumn and share some new autumn inspired fashion illustrations & outfits. Autumn is a season with one of the most beautiful colour palettes. Just think about all those gorgeous gold and red leaves! Even the fruits of Autumn are visually stunning, for example the delicious and juicy fruits such as pomegranates and grapes. With so much to appeal to our senses, it's hard not to be appreciative of autumn. It is a stunning season indeed, so small wonder I was inspired to create some fashion art. HOW TO STYLE TARTAN IN A CASUAL WAY? OUTFIT PROPOSALS + FASHION ILLUSTRATION

I was thinking about why I like tartan pattern so much, when one reason crossed my mind. I figured that it probably has something to do with the history and the culture behind this particular pattern. After all, I always say that traditional and folklore clothing (be it original or reproduced) carries additional value. Traditional patterns can be such an wonderful source of inspiration. Traditional patters have soul to them, one might say. The history of tartan is particularly interesting. Today we mostly associate tartan with Scotland, but according to some historians, tartan like fabrics were used by ancient Celtic populations spreading across the British Isles as early as the sixth and the eight century BC. Well, that one old pattern for sure! However, even if tartan clothes are really as old as ancient Celts, it is the still Scotland that is responsible for tartan we know today. Did you know that different tartan patterns can represent different Scottish families? Something like …
