My illustrations/ Moje ilustracije (jer ja u ljubav vjerujem)

Hello readers! In this post, I'll share some of my illustrations with you. I'll add some more art links, just in case you're interesting in following my art journey. I regularly update my old post to motivate other artists (and make you see one can get better with art, even as an adult).

 I'm also going to translate two rock songs by Croatian rock band Parni valjak for you. I used one of the titles of their songs in my original portrait sketch (although I'm not even sure it was intentional), so I decided to add this little translation.

A little red

Because I'm in love again

*Literally translated this line says- you cannot do anything to me. However, I think that 'you can't stop me' is closer to the original meaning.

BELOW YOU CAN SEE WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE WHEN I COLOURED ONE OLD BALL POINT PEN/WATERCOLOUR IN PAINT 3D

A BLUE LADY IN A MAGICAL FOREST 

This painting of a blue lady was originally a sketch made with a ballpoint pen on a random piece of paper with some watercolour added. Before I got better (still not perfect) as organizing my time for art, I used to sketch a lot. I'm so glad I did because sketching can be food for our creative mind. 

ADDING LAYERS OF COLOURS GRADUALLY TO CREATE THE DESIRED EFFECT - Once I was done with the eyes, then I moved onto skin, lips and  hair. I used various colours for the skin. I wanted to retain the original idea behind the sketch and that was a lady with blue skin (and eyes and hair), so I added more blue around the ages. For skin colouring that followed, I used mostly orange and pink. I keep adding touches of blue to retain that blueness. It was a bit tricky, but I think I pulled it off. The lips were easy to do. I just corrected the shape and coloured them. In my illustrations they were uneven. I didn't correct the nose, just added more colour because the long nose is kind of my style. When it comes to hair, I added different colours such as different shades of blue, red and even purple. I'm pretty happy with how that turned out. The last phase of the process was the background. I wanted the background to look magical, something like an enchanted forest. You can visit my original post to learn more.
