VISIT NATURE PARK HUTOVO BLATO WITH #MODAODARADOSTI

Today this blog is taking you to nature park Hutovo Blato, one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's best kept secrets. If you are regular reader of my blog, then you probably know about this place. Hutovo Blato is a wetland nature park that is home to many bird and animal species. It is such a stunning green oasis to visit. I mean I visit it pretty often, don't I? So, you know that this place has a lot to offer. Moreover, this park has one attraction that is not known to many- an old bridge even older than the famous one in Mostar city! Isn't this bridge absolutely stunning? I climb it every time I visit this nature park to enjoy the views and admire its history. Hutovo Blato is actually quite close to Croatian border, only a short drive away so if you're visiting Croatia's beautiful coastline this is a great place to visit.

THINGS TO DO IN NATURE PARK HUTOVO BLATO  You can click here to read about my last year summer visit and see more images of this place. Bellow is a list of five activities I recommend.
1. GO FOR A BOAT RIDE AND ENJOY MAGNIFICENT VIEWS (BRING YOUR CAM!)
If you want to experience something truly unique, why not go for a boat ride? I went for a boat ride more than once and I can recommend this experience to everyone. It's possibly the best way to experience the wetland area. As this is a wetland area, some places are hard to reach by hiking so boat rides make perfect sense.
This time I didn't go for a boat ride, we just strolled around and ate lunch in company of family members, but I've took boat rides in the past and will probably do it again.
2. VISIT A SECRET BRIDGE THAT IS EVEN OLDER THAN THE FAMOUS OLD BRIDGE
Right next to the sign announcing entrance to the park, you can see a very old bridge. In fact, I took photos on it (have a look above if you missed it). If you don't know it is there and if you don't look carefully, you can easily miss it. For some reason, nobody really pays attention to this historical bridge.  This bridge is even older than the more famous and more 'touristy' old bridge in Mostar.
3. DINE OR STOP FOR COFFEE AT THE RESTAURANT MOTEL PARK
There is a nice restaurant/motel in the park that I can recommend. As far as I know, it's called simply Motel Park and it's the only establishment of the sort in the park. Trust me, you won't be able to miss it. There is a parking area right next to it, and there you can park your car whether or not you're going to check it out or not. It's perfectly fine to park there even if you're just a visitor.
4. GO HIKING OR CYCLING AND DISCOVER THE AMAZING NATURAL BEAUTY
Besides taking a boat ride, hiking and cycling are also a great ways to explore this nature park. Exploring this place on foot will allow you to interact with nature in an intimate way. The wild life you can spot is an additional bonus. You can also go cycling if you prefer that to hiking.VISIT HUTOVO BLATO WITH #MODAODARADOSTI

If you want to see more of Hutovo Blato or learn more about this place, here are links to some other travel posts featuring this amazing nature park ( hereherehereherehere and here) as well the link to another Hutovo Blato boat ride I took HERE. My experience tells me that boat rides are definitely a great way to explore wetlands but hiking and strolling around are fabulous options as well. In the park you can also find information about the bird, fish and other wildlife that is typical for this place. THE STORY OF AN OUTFIT- HOW I WORE IT BEFORE?- BE SUSTAINABLE BY SHOPPING YOUR CLOSET
THE NECKLACES: Some of these necklaces were gifted to me (the red and blue one), but one of them is a DIY project. That would be the red satin cord and faux leather one (similar one here). I sewed that one by hand and attached the stones that way because I don't like to use glue in DIY projects. THE STRAW HAT- This hat is one of the few items I bought this year. I bought it at some store (don't remember the name) because I needed one and I could get to my real home where I normally keep my stash of straw hats. I'm happy I bought it even if I already have a similar one. I know I'll get a lot of wear from it. In fact, I already did. See herehere and here for my most recent wears. I've been wearing it non stop since the summer started. I'm a big believer in wearing wide brim straw hats.
THE SCARF WORN OVER THE DRESS- I actually wore this scarf tied around my hat but because the sun was so strong I decided to tie it around my neck and use it to cover my hands and back. I wore sunscreen but the sun was merciless. I need more protection hence the scarf. See 4 more ways to style it in one of my old posts.
THE DRESS- This sheer summer dress was bought in some local store but wasn't locally made, it's most definitely a fast fashion item but I've worn it many time so I don't regret that purchase. You can see how I wore it here , here and here
THE GOLD BELT- this belt originally came with this floral dress (if I remember well). I don't wear it very often, I'm  not sure why, it's a cute belt.
THE YELLOW BAG- this yellow plastic bag deserves a post of its own. It appeared twice in my last post alone. I'll have to schedule a '30 ways to wear a yellow bag' one of these days.
THE BROWN HEELED SANDALS- I've been wearing them non stop lately, haven't I? Have a look at my last post to see how I wore them with various outfits.

  20. Hello dear Ivana, are you enjoying summer?! I hope so and at least I see that you're going us to a lot of interesting places!

I love that you take us sometimes to the nature and then to the city or to the old area, that's great and it seems that you have plenty of options in your area!

The view looks peaceful and I love that everything is surrounded of green and plants, favorite part of catching a escapade from the city.

And the outfit OH WOW! One of your bests, it reminds me of Jacquemus and is totally SUMMER, the big hat and the printed scarf is the best way to pop up the dress which is so nice!
