HOW TO WEAR THE SCARF TREND FOR SPRING? 4 BASIC WAYS

Are you ready to jump on board the scarf trend? My outfit proposal is all about the foulard. I matched my outfit with the colours of the foulard I was wearing, opting to wear a red blazer, a black pair of cord jeans and a blue turtleneck. It is a simple and comfy styling that made me feel quite chic. It is always good to have an outfit formula to fall back one for those days you don't have much time. One of the easiest ways to elongate your figure is by opting for a pair of high waist jeans and a cropped blazer (or jacket). If you wear a pair of heels with this combo, you'll appear even taller. Not saying that anyone should do that, but if you want to elongate your look, this is a simple and easy way to do it. Blazers and wide cut pants are always a chic combo, and a scarf will add something to every outfit.

ACCESSORIZING WITH SCARVES
A great thing about a scarf is that it is an accessory that can be worn in a number of ways. I've prepared a little visual guide for you today. You can wear a scarf as a belt or a headband. You can tie your scarf around your neck, around your waist, around your ponytail, and even around your hand.

There are many possibilities. Furthermore, there are many ways to tie a scarf, some  of which depend on its size, but generally  it is possible to choose between a few options. The more creative you get, the better. I like to wear my scarves in a number of ways. Sometimes I tie them loosely, sometimes more resembling a tie and sometimes I like to tie them in a bow.  Bellow you can see some outfit proposals featuring scarves.

1. TIE THE SCARF AROUND YOUR NECK

The most common way to wear a scarf is around your neck but you can always play with the way you tie your scarf. Tie it loosely for a more relaxed feel and more formally for an elegant one.

2. TIE THE SCARF AROUND YOUR WAIST

Another fun way to wear a scarf is by styling it as a belt. This is a great way to accesorize your dresses, skirts and jeans in spring time. I often wear scarves with dresses, but they look just as good worn with skirts. Bellow you can see how I styled this scarf with a dress and one denim skirt.

3. TIE THE SCARF AROUND YOUR HAT

Tieing a scarf around your hat will automatically make it more chic. Why not accessorize your hats this way. Moreover, this can also be a fun way for you to coordinate it with colours of your outfit. If you tie your scarf around your hat (instead of as an accessory), you can even end up with more sun protection.

4. USE THE SCARF AS A HAIR ACCESORY: A TURBAN, A HAIRBAND OR A HAIRTIE
Scarves are wonderful and often ignored accessory for styling our hair. As a hair accesory, you can style a scarf in a number of ways: as a turban, a hairband or a hairtie. Bellow you can see some of the ways I wore it as a hair accessory.

These would be my four basic ways to wear a scarf. Thank you for reading and have a lovely day.

I think you look great in your red blazer (I would also like the same outfit with the handpainted one you showed in one of your previous posts).

CROATIAN FASHION WEEK: MATEYANEIRA FASHION ILLUSTRATION IN WATERCOLOUR

I can't really attend fashion weeks because I work full time, but with the help of the internet I get to follow fashion weeks digitally. One of the benefits of living in digital times, I guess. If you remember, I have already shared a number of fashion illustrations inspired by  spring/summer fashion weeks on this little blog of mine ( Valentino Spring Collection 20191 & 2, Zuhair Murad Spring Ready To Wear 2019 collection1 & 2Louis Vuitton Spring Collection 2019 ). Please don't click the links to buy the illustrations, they won't lead you anymore as my art store was lost and it will take me a while to manually remove all the links (I'll explain this later on in this post, for now let's concentrate on positive things like this cute new fashion painting I'll share with you and the design that inspired it).
I was a bit late with catching with Croatian fashion week because I've been busy with work. About a week or so ago, I finally found the time…

IS MOSTAR A GOOD EASTER DAY DESTINATION? PLUS A SPRING OUTFIT PROPOSAL

Luckily for me, Mostar is an excellent Easter day destination. You see, I had travel plans for this Easter weekend, but I caught a bad cold so I decided to stay in the city I'm currently based in. That's actually not a bad thing because (if you ask me) Mostar makes for a great Easter day destination. Naturally, I've would have loved to visit my family, but since that wasn't possible, I'm happy to be spending Easter in Mostar. I've already cleaned and decorated my home for Easter so I'm all set. I've also prepared an outfit proposal but more about that later on. First I'll talk a bit about Mostar. Why is Mostar such a great spring destination? I can think of a number of reasons, but from top of my head I would say wonderful climate, beautiful landmarks and interesting history. Mostar is gorgeous in spring time. With its seven rivers and a number of lovely parks, Mostar can feel like a city oasis.

Spending Easter in Mostar is something I would defin…

TROGIR CITY (PART TWO): KAMERLENGO CASTLE AND OTHER SIGHTS

KAMERLENGO CASTLE AND FORTRESS

As I promised in my last post, my description of  wonderful Trogir city continues. Today I'll show you the city's promenade, its walls and a historical fortress Kamerlengo. We'll start with the latter, as it is one of the main attractions. Castle and fortress Kamerlengo was designed and constructed in the fifteenth century by a local Croatian builder and sculptor known as Martin Radoj. Martin also worked on some of the Gothic elements of Trogir city cathedral and later on in life he was entrusted with the construction of Trogir port. The fortress was commissioned by the Republic of Venice, hence its name 'camelengo ' that is an Italian version of chamberlain. I didn't go inside of  Kamerlengo fortress this time because I've been there before so I just enjoyed observing it from the outside. Besides the Kamerlengo castle, today I'll also show you the city walls and other details from Trogir. Enjoy.

Once again, here is a li…
