10 WAYS TO WEAR A NAUTICAL PATTERN DRESS

Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! Today I'll show you ten ways to wear a nautical pattern dress. Nautical prints and patterns are simply perfect for summer. They often come in traditional nautical colours such as red, white and blue, making them easy to style. In fact, when putting together nautical outfits, it is these three colours (red, white and blue) that you will often (subconsciously or unconsciously) rely on. I came across nautical look being referred to as one of the trends for summer 2020, but honestly for me nautical look is a classic in summer time. One summer arrives, it is only natural to make a mental connection with everything nautical chic represents: voyage, wanderlust, open spaces,  love of the sea and ships. If you're into nautical chic, then nautical print is an easy way to capture that. Nautical prints and patterns often include stripes, ship, boats, nautical equipment and so on. My dress is a mixture of all those things often found in nautical patterns. No wonder I love it so much, right?  If nautical pattern is too much for you, then try wearing traditional colours associated with the nautical trend and focus more on recreating sailor and navy inspired outfits.

STYLING A NAUTICAL PATTERN DRESS WITH NEUTRAL (STRAW) ACCESSORIES
Let's start with an outfit that I have worn most recently and that would be a combination of this nautical print dress, straw accessories and a pair of brown heeled sandals. This outfit is all out pairing this dress with neutral accessories. A straw bag and hat are always fantastic options as far as summer accessories go. What says summer better than straw accessories? Besides, straw bags are typically light and hence easier on our back. Straw summer hats have the added bonus of protecting us against the sun rays. I felt very comfortable in this summer styling. I wore it for a super short visit to Metkovic city.

OTHER WAYS I HAVE WORN THIS NAUTICAL PRINT DRESS
Once you scroll down through other outfit ideas I have prepared for you, it is possible that you will notice that this dress has shrunk somewhat with years. This nautical pattern dress made for is cotton so that is to be expected and I don't have any complaints. The dress is from Mana, an Austrian company that manufacturers some of its clothes in Croatia. I don't have an exact number of times I have worn this nautical dress documented, but I know that I bought it in 2015, so about five years ago. I'm actually wearing it right now as I'm typing this post. I think I wore it more than thirty times, I just don't have all the outfits with it on the record. Looking back at these old photos, I noticed that I often wear this dress with heeled sandals in summer time and with boots and tights in spring or autumn time.

  11. Hello Ivana, hope you're doing good!

I love that lately you're teaching us how you style pieces that are no necessarily neutral, so that's also cool because you show us that when it comes to fashion there are many possibilities and the important fact is to play!

I love this dress, I have a scarf with a similar pattern and know you gave some ideas, like mixing it with straw elements, that one is so typical for summer and also refreshing and nice, very ideal for a city like Barcelona!

Sei sempre super carina e stilosa!
    Baci!
