Something old, something new....Nešto staro, nešto novo.......
I wore a new black blazer in my last outfit ( click here) and I'm wearing an old one in this outfit. The brooch I'm wearing is my own creation, made from faux leather and coffee. Yes, you read that right. Coffee!!! I glued coffee beans onto the faux leather base (cut out from a second hand faux leather coat so that's basically triple recycling) and then I decorated the brooch with nail-polish. Usually I don't use glue for DIY projects, but that time I decided to make an exception. How do you like my creation?
Now, I will say a few words about the location because to me they are as important as outfits. You know that I love sharing beautiful places with you. Do you like bridges? If you do, you will most likely enjoy visiting Mostar city. Do know how Mostar city got its name? The noun 'most' means bridge and -ar is a suffix used to create an occupation. You know like suffix -r is added to a verb 'drive' to form a noun 'driver'. So, mostar was a person whose job it was to collect fees from people crossing the brige. Fun fact, ha? There are many bridges in Mostar city and this one you see is called Custom's Bridge. At the very beginning of this bridge, you can see little stations where custom officers were placed.
Nosila sam novi crni sako u prošloj objavi ( pogledajte ovdje), a u današnjoj nosim stari.

DeleteOh I love this outfit, Ivana which reminds me a bit of Clueless. :) Looking so stylish. And this bridge is a great location to shoot. 'Most' means actually bridge in Russian too. Interesting to get to know the story behind this city's name.

I will have to post an old photo of the brooch because in the mean time I ruined it by forgetting to remove it before I put the tshirt into the washing machine. True story!
DeleteI can't believe you made the brooch, amazing! The skirt is so cute too :)

DeleteYou look fabulous! The quirkiness of your tee and sexiness mixed together is so cute. Oh, i definitely know what you mean about location being just as important. You always take us to some really fun and beautiful places. Love it!

DeleteI love that you always choose meaningful backgrounds for your photos as I love seeing pretty places as much as I enjoy pretty outfits. Very interesting how Mostar city got it's name. Stories like that are fun. This is a nice looking bridge. Our bridges in NYC don't look so quaint or charming.
ReplyDeleteI'm ok with selfies in moderation as well but the key is moderation. Yes I have seen some accounts who just post selfies and nothing else and I find it off putting and yes creepy. I guess I try to stick with posting the types of photos that I would want to see.
Rowena @ rolala loves
I'm exactly the same way when it comes to that, I try to post the kind of photographs I would love to see. In some cases, the large number of selfies is normal, for example when it comes to beauty bloggers but some people really take it too far.

DeleteSo those who collect tolls for bridges? Like trolls you mean? Pay toll to the troll and all that :) The coffee idea is genius. If you are ever in need of a little pick me up, soak your brooch in some hot water and voila :) That is a very cute shirt and you look amazing in it. Wonderful to see you in tights once again, dear. Not as fancy as the last set but, with those sexy legs, not really that important :) Still worked so wonderfully for me, dear!! Exactly what I needed to finish my night off, so wow!!
ReplyDeleteAll Things Bright and Lovely
yes, like trolls. My nephew explained to be about the trolls. He saw in one of Dora's videos.
ReplyDeletetrudim se:)
DeleteI meni se sviđa kombinacija crne i žute, imam još jednu pripremljenu:)
Nažalost broš je stadao jer ga nisam skinula kad sam majicu stavila na iskuhavanje.
You look very chic in the fitted blazer and pencil skirt! I didn't know the meaning of Mostar so I have learnt something already today, thank you! xx

DeleteYour printed tee is really nice with the tartan skirt, and that bridge is lovely, great spot for photos, especially the last one, it turned out really nicely :)

DeletePreslatko! Ta crvena torbica i suknjica tartan zuto-crnog uzorka su pun pogodak!
ReplyDeletehvala i ja volim ovu suknju.
:D Lokacija i fotografije opet pet plus. :*

And hopefully you know that not only you look very beautiful on the pictures but also your hair - and your DIY brooch <3
ReplyDeleteThank you also for sharing the story of the name for Mostar. It is very interesting (and new for me) that in Mostar are so many bridges and how this is connected with the name of this now. I learned again thanks to you something new!
