VISIT HUTOVO BLATO (A WETLAND NATURE PARK IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA) WITH ME!

Hello dear readers and bloggers! Happy first day of Summer! You know what? I have just the perfect summer destination to share with you. Today I'm taking you to wetland nature park Hutovo blato (link to the official site here). I have blogged many times about this nature park and I will probably blog about it again. I visit it all year round, but summer is possibly the best time to visit it because you can really enjoy the boat ride. It is one of my favourite spots in all of Bosnia and Herzegovina.  In case you want to know more about this place, I will leave you with links to my older posts bellow. My outfit was all about being comfortable but feeling stylish at the same time. I choose to wear a striped cap for additional sun protection. During summer, a pair of sunglasses is a must and so are light clothes. I wore my trusted  white tunics, pepita short and driving loafers.

MY PREVIOUS VISITS TO HUTOVO BLATO:
As you can see, I'm a regular visitor. I visit Hutovo blato every year!

TOP FIVE THINGS TO DO IN HUTOVO BLATO:
1. GO FOR A BOAT RIDE AND ENJOY MAGNIFICENT VIEWS (BRING YOUR CAM!)
If you want to experience something truly unique, why not go for a boat ride?
2. VISIT A SECRET BRIDGE THAT IS EVEN OLDER THAN THE FAMOUS OLD BRIDGE
Right next to the sign announcing entrance to the park, you can see a very old bridge. In fact, I took photos on it (have a look above if you missed it). If you don't know it is there and if you don't look carefully, you can easily miss it. For some reason, nobody really pays attention to this historical bridge.  This bridge is even older than the more famous and more 'touristy' old bridge in Mostar.
3. DINE OR STOP FOR COFFEE AT THE RESTAURANT MOTEL PARK
There is a nice restaurant/motel in the park that I can recommend.
4. GO HIKING OR CYCLING Besides taking a boat ride, hiking and cycling are also a great ways to explore this nature park.
5. AND DISCOVER THE AMAZING NATURAL BEAUTY AND WILDLIFE
The wild life you can spot is an additional bonus. If you're into bird-watching, this is a place for you!

THE STORY OF MY OUTFIT- HOW I WORE THESE ITEMS BEFORE?
THE STRIPED CAP- I wore it before here, here, here , here and here
THE PEPITA SHORTS- I picked up these shorts in a second hand shop that is no longer open. I was very happy to find them because I was looking for high waisted shorts that weren't too short.  I actually wear these shorts all year around, even in winter. You can see how I styled these pepita shorts herehere here and here
THE WHITE TUNICS- See how I wore it here, here, here and here. I am aiming for thirty wears with this one, so I've been wearing it all the time lately. I think I'm already over thirty wears but I don't have all of them photographed, so it will probably take another week for me to publish that 30 wears post.
THE DRIVING LOAFERS- See how I styled them here, here and here.
THE BLACK CROSSOVER BAG- Last worn here but also here and here.
THE GOLDEN BELT- See how I styled it here and here.
Thank you for reading and visiting. Have a nice day!

  2. Thank you so much for calling it the first day of summer, I've read several blog posts this morning about having passed the solstice and "it being all downhill from here" - the Brits are such a miserable lot!
What a wonderful place for a wander, I never get tired of seeing that lovely embroidered blouse! xxx

  4. Hey Ivana, I hope you're doing well!

Ooooh such a perfect escapade to say hello to the first weeks of summer, that's great! I love that some plans involving nature and places like this park are an option, hopefully I could go to B&H in a few years :)

I loved how you spent the day going from the adventure mood to the relaxation mood, I think that's the greatest part of plans like this: you can opt to go in a boat and then you can chill and a get a nice food close to the nature *_*

About your outfit, I loved that embroidered blouse full of details and colorful ornaments! The cap to get protected from the sun is also a good point taking into account that we must stay protected!

    Have a lovely week ahead!

    1. I love how you call it B&H, that's what we locals do (we call it BiH as 'i' stands for and in our language). It is really easier than pronouncing the whole thing! Thank you for your visit. I'm glad you enjoy it. Summer is full of wonderful opportunities.

  6. Looks like a beautiful destination! Sometime, you must paint a picture of you (in the maxie dress and floppy hat) with your back to us looking out into the water. I am sure you must have found so much inspiration here.

Quella tunica è davvero deliziosa e super versatile! :D

  12. I remember your previous posts about Hutovo blato, and finding the place delightful, especially due to the fact that you are able to enjoy a boat ride! Thank you for taking me with you again today.
I'm loving the embroidered tunic worn with those shorts and cheeky striped cap! A perfect outfit for a summer's day. Unfortunately, we've had two miserable days now that summer has officially started. Hopefully, we'll get an improvement in the weather soon! xxx

  13. This seems like such a wonderful natural place! Going with a boat seems especially nice and adventurous, I'd love to stumble upon some of those animals in their natural habitat.

  16. Aside from the trees being skinnier, the flora in your area is very similar to Canada's west coast. You look happy and lovely, Ivana!

  17. A great place for walks - especially in the hot summer. It's always cooler between the trees.

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism. Naravno da mi puno znači što ste uzeli vrijeme da nešto napišete, pa makar to bila i kritika. Per me le vostre parole sono sempre preziose anche quando si tratta di critiche.
