How To Style Bermuda Shorts In a Dressed Up Way? Outfit Proposal.

Today I'm sharing with you a predominately grey styling. I think that grey is such an underestimated colour. Lately I've been wearing it more often. It is very easy to style and besides light shades of grey can be so perfect for spring. As much as I love colour & crazy prints, sometimes I feel like wearing something a bit toned down.

Back to the subject of this post and that is styling bermuda shorts. When it comes to shorts, I always go for a longer lengths because it feels more comfortable and practical. In addition, a longer length of shorts is appropriate for all kind of occasions. You can even pair longer shorts with a blazer to get a more formal look. When you add tights into the mix, you get a work appropriate outfit. The answer to my question of the day- How to style Bermuda shorts in a dressed up way is: wear them with tights and heels. If you're going for a dressed up look, a nice shirt or a blouse is always welcome. You can also throw a blazer over it. Anyhow, this is my spring outfit proposal. You can see a summer version of this outfit here.

As far as location is concerned, we're still in Mostar. Isn't it a gorgeous city? These images were taken in front of Croatian theater Kosacha in Mostar. It was a lovely sunny day and it was my birthday.  I've literally just remembered that! Yes, you're looking at my birthday outfit. I forgot where we went for lunch that day (or did we?), but I remember that I made strawberry pie later in the day. It was a busy day and I haven't had the time to celebrate my birthday properly, but I'm not complaining. You don't always need a great celebration. As cheesy as it sounds, I'm just happy to be alive and breathing.

  10. i love your blouse!!! this is a real beauty piece of fashion. the bermuda short is ok, but not really my taste. but i love this tights! i like it, that you taking an opaque pantyhose instead of a teint pantyhose. these tights is a perfect match to your look

i think you should wear this monochrome/one colored look very often - it fits you.

  14. I agree with you Ivana that grey is an underestimated color but it's a color that looks beautiful even in all the seasons. My father use to say it as 'royal color'. He always want to buy a grey color saree for my mother..hahaha..
Your outfit is so elegant here. I love that Bermuda style shorts and the way you have paired it with that silk blouse. The best thing is that you have worn it with those lovely tights which made is more classy. I need to add some silk blouse like yours. The bow tie has enhanced the beauty of that blouse. You are looking so beautiful.
    Have a fantastic day <3 Kisses <3

  15. I totally agree about grey being such an underestimated colour. It is actually my favorite neutral and I love it even more than black and white because I find it more subtle and easier to wear. Bermuda shorts are the best style of shorts for dressing up IMHO and you done a lovely job of styling them in this outfit which looks so ladylike and chic!

READING UPDATE: PLAYER PIANO AND FAULT IN OUR STARS (BOOK REVIEWS)

Is anything as lovely as a sunny spring day? I missed reading outdoors, I can tell you that. Sitting on a bench on a nice spring day, with a nice book in one's lap, now that has to be one of the greatest pleasures in life. Speaking of reading, March has been a good reading month so far. As loyal I am to my favourite writers, I also love to discover new ones. I try to read at least one new author every month. This March I read two American authors for the first time: Kurt Vonnegut and John Green. Naturally I heard about them before. Both of them are quite well know, but this March marked my first introduction to these two. They are not the only 'new' writers I tried this month, but more about that some other time. Earlier this month, I read Kurt's Player Piano and Green's Fault in Our Stars. I liked Player Piano much more that Fault in Our Stars but I was kind of expecting that. I'm happy I read both, though. It is just that Kurt's writing is more my cup of…

CROATIAN DESTINATIONS: MAKARSKA CITY, THE MAIN CITY SQUARE

Hello my dear readers! Today I'm back with another post from Makarska city, a very popular coastal touristic destination in Croatia. If you remember, I went to Makarska on the first of March to visit a family member. I went back again last Friday (exactly a week ago) and the weather was dreamy. We had a great time, we sure did.  In this first photograph, you can see me standing in front of Franciscan monastery and church of Blessed Virgin. I will write a more about this monastery some other time, and today I'll show you a bit more of Makarska city itself and show some of its many attractions (like the main city square and the church of Saint Mark the Evangelist). If you haven't seen it yet, feel free to check out my recent post about Makarska. You can also check out this old Makarska travel post (dating to March, 2016). As you can see, I've been to Makarska a few times. Not nearly enough, if you ask me. It is a beautiful city and I think I even prefer it in spring sea…

JANUARY AND FEBRUARY HIGHLIGHTS

January and February have both been quite eventful months for me. A mix of good and the bad you might say, but all in all I can't complain. After ten long years I'm finally in remission, so that's amazing news. Fingers crossed things stay that way. I can't tell you how relived and happy I am to be in remission. I lost all hope of it (to tell you the truth) but then when I didn't even think about it, it happened. That's life, isn't it? You never know what the tomorrow might bring. Both good and the bad. I suppose that's the fun in living- not knowing. I know  it might seem a bit late, sharing January and February highlights as late as mid March, but I finally found some time to put this post together, so let's do it. Scroll down to see some of my January and February highlights.

TRIPS & GETAWAYS

Most of the trips I took this January were to areas located in vicinity of Mostar city (where I'm still based) but in February I visited Croatia. I&…
