Blue angel (outfit post)


Hello readers! I have updated this post. Why? Mostly, because I care about sustainable fashion and I like to promote it. So, I'm adding more links to show you how to style this second hand blue coat. Moreover, I have hand painted wings on this second hand coat with textile paints. 










For the sake of authenticity , I'll leave most of the photos in this post turned the wrong way, and just add links and more collages towards the end of the post.

I'm preparing more post from Rome but in the meantime.....I just realized that I haven't been posting a lot of DIY posts lately. Although I have showed you this blue coat before (with wings that I have painted on it- that would be the DIY part), I'm not sure you had the chance to see them properly. I'm really sorry about the photos being sideways but their from my hubs' cell and long story short I haven't figured out how to rotate them.

U zadnje vrijeme nisam baš objavljivala "uradi sam" postove, pa evo jedan. Ovaj plavi kaput ste imali prilike vidjeti, a na njemu sam oslikala krila, pošto konačno imam fotke na kojima se dobro vidi, zašto ih ne objaviti?  Nisam ih znala okrenuti... Oprostite, ali prebačene su sa muževog mobitela i stvarno nisam skužila kako sa njima.

It was over 40 degrees Celsius (that's over 100 Fahrenheit) when these photographs were taken. Seriously! I'm obviously a desert type when I'm able to enjoy being out at midday in a city that is practically an oven. THE ISLAND OF THE MISSING TREES BY ELIF SHAFAK (BOOK REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATION)

Today I shall review The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak. I was actually gifted this book. What a wonderful present it proved to be! Published in 2021, this postmodern  novel  follows two  story lines and uses framed narration.  The Island of Missing Trees  tells the life story of a Greek Turkish couple and their adolescent daughter.  This novel examines and explores a number of topics such as identity, migration, immigrant life, war trauma, memory, love and family. It's an ambitious novel that examines serious topics with due respect and sensitivity . I read it months ago, but I remember it vividly. Honestly, I cried a lot while reading this novel. It really moved me greatly. In fact, that is probably why it took me this long to finish this book review. THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO 2024 MOVIE REVIEW

In this post, I'll share with you a review of  The Count of Monte Cristo.  I don't go to theatre/movies often. In fact, years have been known to pass without me seeing a film on the big screen. However, when I saw the poster for the new 2024  The Count of Monte Cristo movie, I knew I simply had to go.  I really wanted to see this film, and I didn't even read the reviews or watch the trailer for it. I wasn't even intimidated by the fact it is a three hours long. Afterall, it's based on a rather long novel, so I didn't expect it to be short.  Now, I usually review books on my blog, not movies. However, perhaps this film review won't come as a surprise to you. Back in Mostar city (outfit post) / Ponovo u Mostaru (odjevna objava)

Today I'm showing you another way to style this white dress I received from dresslink . You can see my first outfit here . This time I wore a vintage midi skirt over the dress, so I've basically turned it  into a blouse. I wore a vintage scarf over it and  accessorized with massive earrings and many bracelets to create a bit of the ethic/ traditinal vibe. To finish this look, I opted for a gold minibag and matching heels. As far as photograph goes, the shooting took place at two difference locations. One is in a small village named Vihovići, that is located in vicinity of Mostar and from this place you have a wonderful panorama of beautiful Mostar city.
