DIY---painting and writing on clothes / uradi sam--kako crtati i pisati na odjeći?

Hi! In this post, I'll share some of my DIY projects that include painting with textile/fabric paints. What clothes do I paint on? As you will see in this post, I will paint on pretty much everything- jeans, coats, t-shirt....

How to paint with textile (fabric) paints? It might seem daunting but it's actually not that different from painting with any other kind of paints. It can be a similar experience. Of course, this will also depend on the brand of textile paints you'll use. Some textile/fabric paints are more thick, and some less. But all can be worked with! You can also find many tutorials on the Internet. 

As I have explained a couple of times, the process can be fairly simple. 

There isn't much (if any) difference when it comes to using textile and regular paints. 

Many people use watercolour or even acrylic paints to paint on clothes. Some use natural materials and dyes, even dirt!

In fact, painting with textile paints is quite similar to using acrylic paints or watercolour. 

My advice is - don't overthink it! Just do it!

I often do these kinds of DIY and paint on clothes. Using these kinds of fabric paints (the ones that you can apply on with a brush) is a very creative process because you can paint on whatever you want. The whole process is fairly simple, the only thing you might want to do is to take care that the pain doesn't get where it shouldn't. Just put something under the clothes before you start to paint on it. I have selected just a few DIY for today, because really there are so many of them and I have posted about most of them anyhow.

  Često slikam po odjeći, korištenje ovakvih boja (koje se nanose kistom) ostavlja puno slobode, možete praktički naslikati što god želite. Cijeli proces je jako jednostavan, samo pripazite da boja ne završi tamo gdje ne bi trebala. Stavite nešto ispod odjeće prije nego što počnete slikati na njoj. Izabrala sam samo par stvari koje sam radila, jer jednostavno ima previše toga, a već sam objavljivala većinu.

THE ISLAND OF THE MISSING TREES BY ELIF SHAFAK (BOOK REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATION)

Today I shall review The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak. I was actually gifted this book. What a wonderful present it proved to be! Published in 2021, this postmodern  novel  follows two  story lines and uses framed narration.  The Island of Missing Trees  tells the life story of a Greek Turkish couple and their adolescent daughter.  This novel examines and explores a number of topics such as identity, migration, immigrant life, war trauma, memory, love and family. It's an ambitious novel that examines serious topics with due respect and sensitivity . I read it months ago, but I remember it vividly. Honestly, I cried a lot while reading this novel. It really moved me greatly. In fact, that is probably why it took me this long to finish this book review. 10 STYLE LESSONS LEARNED FROM MALENA/ MONICA BELLUCCI

With summer being in full spring, I caught myself thinking about iconic summer outfits. Do you know what came to my mind? WIWT: RED FLORAL BLOUSE, OZZ PANTS AND STARTAS SNEAKERS

Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers. Today we'll do a simple outfit post. What I wore today? Well, I wore three outfits actually (you'll see the other two soon enough).  This is what I was wearing this morning while we were driving through Neretva canon on our way back to Mostar. A travelling outfit, if you will. Once again, I shopped my closet for this outfit. I mixed and matched two sets to create this outfit. The red floral blouse is from a vintage floral set (worn here ), the tea green pants are from Ozz brand set (previously worn as a part of a set here  here ) and the striped sneakers are from iconic Croatian brand Startas (worn previously here ).  It was a very comfortable outfit, perfect for travelling! A BOOK REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATION: THIS IMMORTAL BY ROGER ZELAZNY

Happy November everyone! Today I'm back with a book review. This time I'm reviewing  This Immortal , a novel by Roger Zelanzy that shared Hugo award with  Frank Herbert's  Dune in 1966. It was clearly a good year for science fiction. I think both novels were equally deserving of the award. Both Roger Zelanzy and Frank Herbert remain acclaimed writers of science fiction with legions of fans, but Dune is definitely the better known known of the two works that won the Hugo award in 1966. I reviewed many of Frank Herbert's novels on my blog (  Godmakers , Dune , Dune Messiah,   Children of Dune,    God Emperor of Dune, Hertics of Dune, Chapterhouse: Dune,   White Plague ) and the same goes for Roger Zelazny.
