Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers. Today I'm taking you to a small Croatian seaside city- Biograd na Moru. Quite a long name for a city. Literally translated it means- a white city on the sea. It's a Mediterranean pearl of a city for sure. Located in immediate vicinity of
Zadar city, it is a great place to spend one's vacation. Apart from its history and culture, Biograd na Moru is known for its beautiful beaches and delicious cuisine. There are many wonderful restaurants there. Our stay was quite short, so we tried only two of them but we enjoyed our dinning experience there. You can find more information about this touristic city on its official site
Biograd na Moru. Scroll bellow to read more about our stay in this wonderful coastal town.
WE SURE ENJOYED OUR VISIT AND I FOUND INSPIRATION FOR MORE BOAT PAINTINGS!
We thoroughly enjoyed our walk in the marine. What a great place for a boat lover! You know that I'm a boat lover because I keep painting boats. Moreover, you probably know that I like to take photographs to use a reference for my paintings myself. Well, I'm happy to report that I took some photographs that I liked very much. So, you might see another boat painting of mine come to life.
It's quite a big marine or perhaps even more marines joined into one. The nautical tourism is booming here. Well, Croatia is one of the top nautical destinations in the world but this place is definitely one of the bests spots to be. Tourism in general is developed here. It helps that Biograd is located in vicinity of several well known national parks. Kornati, in particular, are a very attractive destination. There are many charming islands in vicinity of Biograd na Moru. Some seem so close that one feels like one can swim to them. There are also ferry rides available daily that will take you to nearby islands. Several years ago, I took a ferry boat ride when I went to island Pašman to attend a funeral of a family member of mine. It was a sad occasion, but a beautiful location and it gave me comfort to be able to attend. This more recent visit was also family motivated. I have family members living here that I haven't see in years and some that my husband hasn't met yet. I decided it was high time, seeing that we have been married for almost a decade so we made a few visiting. Anyhow, we did enjoy our stay in Biograd a lot. This particular night was wonderful. I loved strolling around Biograd that night. All the restaurants looked so inviting it was hard to choose one. The views are simply amazing. It's a great place to be.
THE STORY OF MY OUTFIT- I wanted to wear something comfortable because it was an evening of walking around. So, I settled for this red top, a parsley ruffled skirt, driving loafers and a crossover bag.
THE LONG SLEEVED V-NECK TOP- Actually, this was my first time wearing it. Something new in my closet and it was a fast fashion purchase. I love red. I need more red items in my closet.
THE PARSLEY PRINT (SHORT GYPSY) SKIRT- worn here and here. This skirt was such a great purchase. I think I got about a dozen documented wears on my blog, but I don't have the time to link them all up. I will do a special post about it some day.
THE MINI BAG WITH LEOPARD DETAILS- last worn here.
THE DRIVING LOAFERS- worn here. See how I styled them here, here and here.
As always, thank you for reading and visiting! Have a nice day.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place, and such a dreamy name too. I like the sound of white city by the sea!
ReplyDeleteHow fabulous is that marina, and I wouldn't mind joining you on a ferry ride to one of those islands.
You picked the perfect outfit too: the paisley print skirt is gorgeous and your new red V-neck jumper looks great with it, and on you. The first of its undoubtedly many wears! xxx
It looks like a beautiful place and wonderful outfit :-D
ReplyDeleteHey Ivana, just coming from checking part 2 of this Biograd series! The area looks really lovely and there are many parts of Croatia that remind me of the Mediterranean area in Spain, this for example looks similar to Costa Brava!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear that you took some inspiration for your boats series, the inspiration could find us anywhere and I am excited to see what you're gonna paint! And the outfit in red has a really interest contrast with the blue of the sea *_*
Oooh and did you visit your family too? That's nice, double win since you do tourists and also visit your beloved ones!
Best!
