11 WAYS TO STYLE A LBD

 Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! How are you doing? Life seems to be coming back to normal slowly. Today I'll show you what I wore for a wedding in Herzegovina. The wedding was held in agricultural hotel and country house Marića Gaj. The wedding reception was a bit different because of the restrictions, but it all went well. My outfit was quite simple. You know what they say- when in doubt, wear a little black dress.  I wore a black A-line dress and a pair of leopard heels. I finished the look with a small black bag and a pair of earrings. Once again, I shopped my closet for this look. 



HOW I STYLED THIS DRESS BEFORE? 11 WAYS TO STYLE A LBD 
 I actually wore this cocktail dress a few posts ago (remember the outfit where I layered a white tunics under it). I got about eleven wears from it so far, not bad considering I had it for about two years. I'm sure I'll get to 30 wears eventually. It is one of those dresses that are easy to style up and down. When I want to wear it for a special occasion or a fancy date, I pair it with heels and blazers. On the other hand, when I want to wear it in a more casual way, then I pair it with sneakers or moccasins. 


Isn't it funny how I wore this dress for all kind of ocassions: from hiking to concerts and weddings. I think that's the best part about clothes- the stories we write with them. I always say that I'm sentimental when it comes to clothes. My favourite pieces are those that have some kind of history.  What styling do you like the most? I think my favourite styling is the one with the white tunics but I also like those layering outfits a lot. It is fun to layer, but it is also nice how in summer layering  suddenly becomes optional. I'm happy about the arrival of summer. Plus, there are ways to layer your dresses in summer as well.     That dress is such a classic Ivana, and perfect both for dressing up or dressing down. I love how you wore it styled very simply for the wedding, with just the quirky touch of the leopard print shoes. The one with the embroidered tunic underneath is fabulous too. SPRING IN SPLIT : 3 OUTFITS, ONE WORN FOR AN ART EXHIBITION

Hello! Spring break is officially over for me. Today was my second day back at work and I'm exhausted. The first day was fun, we've all happy to see one another again and all that, but the second day tired me out. The end of the week is far away, too. It takes time to get used to working from 7 to 5 again.  I divided my Spring break between my favourite three places and two countries:  island Hvar & Split (in Croatia) and Mostar (in Bosnia and Herzegovina). I visited an art exhibition and that was fun, too. The art exhibition was by Croatian illustrator Filip Čulić. The exhibition included his illustrations and comic book art. It's open until the end of April, so if you're in Split, check it out (more information here ). I love Split's city library. They always organize fun stuff. If you spent each day on a different Croatian island, it would take you three years to visit them all, as there are more than a 1, 200 islands in Croatia. PLUS 30 WAYS TO WEAR A BABY BLUE DRESS AND LEOPARD HEELS (OUTFIT POST, MOSTAR)

 Hello! In this post, I'll share a sustainable baby blue and leopard spring styling. A pale blue might not be the first choice with leopard, but why not? For me leopard print is sort of a classic. I actually love to pair it with all kinds of colours, from more vibrant ones to pales ones. In the past, I paired it with cobalt blue . I definitely do not feel that leopard should be worn only with neutral colours. I mean I paired leopard with white, grey and black clothing items often enough, but I love to pair it with something that pops, be it a coloured or pattern item. I do love patterns. So, it's not surprising that I love to mix patterns.  Back to my baby blue & leopard outfit. I wore it for an outing and I really enjoyed it. The best about is that it is sustainable. Let there be colour! (outfit post) / Neka bude boja (odjevna kombinacija)

It was over 40 degrees Celsius (that's over 100 Fahrenheit) when these photographs were taken. Seriously! I'm obviously a desert type when I'm able to enjoy being out at midday in a city that is practically an oven. If you did not know Mostar city is surrounded by mountains and hills which pretty much turns it into an urban oven. Yes, this city is a champion of unbelievably high temperatures during the Summer. So, this hat was as much a necessity as a fashion statement. Wearing a hat when temperature is over 100 Fahrenheit is a sound idea, believe me. Speaking of Fahrenheits,  have you read  Fahrenheit 451  by Ray Bradbury? You should, you know, it really is a brilliant dystopian novel. I find it uncanny how much some writers were able to guess the future, down to minute details. Sights to see, places to visit / Znamenitosti za vidjeti, mjesta za posjetiti -----Goranci

My Sights to see, places to visit feature would surely be missing something if I didn't include this little village Goranci in the list of places to visit. This charming little village is situated in the vicinity of Mostar.  I love to go there to espace the city heat.  If you are into cycling, you'd be happy to hear that you can rent a bike for free. You just need to leave your ID in the restaurant Goranci and you can take the bike. There is a wonderful cycling and pedestrian walk so be sure to check it out. As of recently, there is also a beautiful park at your disposal. This park is growing daily as new things are added to it(toys for kids and that sorts of stuff). Nature Park Blidinje hides a gem of great beauty: magical lake Blidinje. In the presence of this lake, I found myself overwhelmed by a feeling of complete calmness, perhaps for the first time in many days. Enchanted by its beauty, I walked into the lake. 10 STYLE LESSONS LEARNED FROM MALENA/ MONICA BELLUCCI

With summer being in full spring, I caught myself thinking about iconic summer outfits. Do you know what came to my mind? Costumes/outfits worn by Monica Belluci when she played Malena Scordia in an iconic Italian movie set on Sicily.  The costumes for that movie were designed by an acclaimed Italian costume designer Maurizio Millenotti and he outdone himself! Seeing that Malena is a historical movie, Maurizio choose quite timeless outfits and cuts that will ever go out of style. That fact makes Malena movie the perfect place to look for inspiration! Moreover, I feel that Monica Belluci's personal style is quite similar to Malena's (i.e. to the style of the character she is playing). There is definitely a Mediterranean lady feel about Malena/Monica Bellucci. What says summer better than Mediterranean and Sicily? Sunny summer days in Mostar city. Simple pleasures in life. The smell of pine trees in the air. (They have a special scent during the Summer. Have you ever noticed that?) Strolling around the city with my significant other.  A cup of coffee enjoyed in good company. Simply daily rituals that can be so meaningful. Admiring street air.
