Nautical print dress (outfit post and surviving summer in Mostar) / Haljina s mornaskim uzorkom (odjevna kombinacija i preživljavanje ljeta u Mostaru)


Do you like nautical print? I do. Pairing this dress with tights felt kind of wrong, but it stopped me from worrying about whether it is too short or not. So, here it is. A simple liitle outfit with a little nautical print dress....because some of us can't resist prints. Moreover, for some of us LBD will remained something to be admired but rarely worn. 

p.s. The temperatures are sky high in Mostar and I unless I don't have to I don't go out of the house before 7 p.m. Mostar is surrounded by mountains which are amazing sight for the eyes but they also trap the warm air (you can't have it all) making this city a hard place to live in during the summer months. I might write some tips on how to surive Summer in the city soon. Do you have any tips to share? How are you surviving summer in a city (taken that you happen to live in one)?

Volite li mornaski uzorak? Ja ga volim. Nošenje ove ljetne haljinice s hulahopkama mi se činilo nekako pogrešno, ali barem se nisam morala brinuti o tome je li prekratka. Tako da...evo jednostavne kombinacije sa kratkom haljinicom mornarskoga uzorka....jer neki od nas ne mogu odoljeti uzorcima i za neke od nas mala crna haljina će uvijek biti nešto čemu ćemo se diviti, ali što ćemo rijetko nositi. 

p.s. Temperature su nevjerojatno visoke u Mostaru i ne izlazim iz kuće (ako ne moram) prije 7 sati navečer. Mostar je okružen planinama koje su pravi odmor za oči, ali one također ( nikada ne možete imati sve) zarobe topli zrak i čine ovaj grad teškim za život u ljetnim mjesecima. Možda napišem neke savjete o tome kako preživjeti ljeto u gradu. Imate li vi kakvih savjeta? Kako preživljavate ljeto u gradu (ako živite u gradu)?

    Ivana, I like your nautical print dress... it looks great on you. I too wear a pair of tights when the dress is a bit shorter.

    I live in a small city but located near a harbour and very close to the ocean. So although it can get hot at times we usually have a breeze. I hope it cools off a bit for you♡

      thank you dear Launna. When I'm in Split I make the most out of it being a coastal city....and in Mostar we have five years so I try to stay close to them and in the evening I stroll on the banks of Neretva river trying get the most out of its breeze.

    Oh, I love your dress with the gray tights!
    I'm lucky enough to live by the sea, but even here the temperatures get pretty high. There's not a lot that you can do... Sometimes we even stay at home because it's colder inside that it is outside. But generally we just find a pool or a colder caffe and stay there :)

    Malo mi je teško gledat najlonke čak i na slikama, po ovakvoj vrućini :)
    Mislim da ti nisu bile potrebne uz ovu haljinu, nije toliko kratka. Haljina mi je lijepa, ide super preko ljeta, i preko hladnog period s najlonkama (tad bih stavila gore neki jednobojni, tamni sako, npr.).
    Kako se preživljava ljeto u Mostaru? Zagreb danas gori.

      preživljava se šetnjom uz Neretvu, Radobolju i ostale rijeke...i ako se može najbolje je ne izlaziti iz kuće od 10 do 5 sati.

      Mislim da bi haljina ljepše izgledala bez najlonki, ali opet malo mi je prekratka kad sjednem, a pošto sam je nosila na misu odlučila sam ipak igrati na sigurno.

    Nautical prints are perfect for the warmer weather and the colors in this dress are so fun. I also wear tights with dresses that I consider on the short side. I think this dress actually looks quite chic paired with tights and even better that it gives you peace of mind when you wear it.

    The heat sounds like it has become somewhat unbearable in Mostar. I don't blame you for not wanting to go out. Intense heat can feel so draining. It hasn't been that bad in NYC yet. We had a few really hot days and it was really the humidity that made it worse. Dry heat doesn't feel as bad to me. But when it's really hot, like you, I avoid going out if I can especially during the middle of the day. Stay cool my friend!

    I think the tights look lovely with the dress - its a stunning outfit :) I don't live in a city myself but I prefer city breaks to beach holidays, so I know how hot these places get in the summer (hence why I put most of my travel on hold until winter months!) x

    I am not really into prints that much, I am a basic kind of girl when it comes to my outfits. But I love the summer and the warmth, I seem to function way better when it is warm. Drinking a lot is what helps, and eating watermelon fro the fridge.
