Inspired by....Fashionably Idu, Tijana Abejita and Jointy & Croissanty

The best thing about blogging, for me, is finding so many inspiring women. Women that are beautiful inside & out. That is how my Inspired by feature was born. As someone who blogs and creates art on daily basis, it seemed only natural to create a feature in which I would publish my illustrations of bloggers who inspire me. It is a sort of a blog recommendation, only a bit more personal. I typically publish my Inspired by feature monthly. Last month some unexpected events took me out of the country and messed up with my blogging schedule a little. I know that not being able to blog  for 3 days is not the end of the world, but I keep a tight blogging schedule so when sometimes like that happens, it can cause me to miss out on a regular feature. Anyhow, to make up for not being able to publish my Inspired by feature last month, I prepared not one but three illustrations for you today!!! I'm really excited about sharing these ones with you.

Today I illustrated bloggers from Fashionably Idu and Jointy &Croissanty as well as Tijana from @tijanabejita. The medium for all of these illustration is coloured pencils on paper. I got up really really early in the morning to be able to get these done. I would say that each illustration took me about a half an hour give or take. Together they took me about two hours to make. I'm trying up to speed up my drawing speed. Sometimes it is good practice, sometimes it can be distracting. Like with any kind of skill development, sometimes it is a try and error thing. You learn to speed up things, and then you might realize that some things might take more time, but still the practice might have been useful. Anyhow, that's about it as far as the medium and the technique concerned. I'm constantly working a lot of developing my art skills and trying out new things in the process.

The outfits I illustrated are really cute, don't you agree? I love the sheer and ruffled shirt Idu is wearing, paired with that vintage Chanel belt it looks both fashion forward and put together...and what to say about those cobalt palazzo pants? Aren't they gorgeous? When it comes to Tijana's outfit, I coloured it a bit darker than it really us just because white pencil doesn't show on white paper. Originally the dress Tijana is wearing is white, but on my drawing it is more gray than white.  The final outfit is also very cute. I love the contrast between the black top and cap and the girly skirt. It's a great summer urban look, that is at the same time very feminine. Gorgeous outfits, all three of them. Scroll down to see both the finish version and the 'making of' photographs. 2. Glad you were able to pick back up and still share some illustrations after a blog break of a few days! :) I usually write all my blog posts in advance and it works well, but I've fallen behind and I'm not quite 2 weeks ahead. I'd love to be back to being 3 weeks ahead in posting, but not sure when I'll catch back up to that, haha!

Hope that you're having a great week so far! :)

  4. I must say that I truly enjoy you taking the time to illustrate your favorite bloggers. Using color pencils as a medium is pretty fun and one that I see you gravitate to time and time again. I really love the details in the outfits of the girls and my favorite would be JointyCroissanty's illustration because it seems hard with the dark color scheme but you made it work somehow! Thank you for always inspiring me dear - I cannot wait to show you my beginner's take on nail polish art :D xo

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism. Naravno da mi puno znači što ste uzeli vrijeme da nešto napišete, pa makar to bila i kritika. Per me le vostre parole sono sempre preziose anche quando si tratta di critiche.
