How to style a denim skirt in Winter? Kako zimi nositi suknju od trapera?
Last post (here) was ( at least partly) about how to dress for late Autumn/early Winter sunny days. So, it was basically about dressing up for those cold (but not too cold) and sunny days. Today I'm going to talk about dressing for late Autumn/ early Winter days that lack both sunshine and warmth. It is interesting how much colder we feel when we can't see the sun. I'm sure that it is partly psychological, because the absence of sun doesn't mean that the weather is freezing, but hey we need our comfort not just facts. I think that 'keeping warm' is relative, so we should dress according to how we feel, not only based on weather reports. Let's get back to the topic of styling our clothes for colder days. My solution is simple...Puffer jackets! The longer, the better because it will keep you warmer. Under a warm and long puffer, you can wear whatever you like, even shorts and mini skirts. Well, in my case I wore a denim skirt that is just above the knee. So, this also answers my dilemma about how to wear a denim skirt in Winter. The location is once again beautiful Buna river in vicinity of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. My last post was rather long, but since the weekend is almost here, today post is going to be shorter. Have a nice day everyone!

This jacket is really beautiful, dear Ivana, and you are beautiful too! I think you are right, being or feeling cold is relative. I for example, don't need a lot of clothes to feel warm - even in Norway in winter, I was with a shirt, a light sweater (really light), a normal coat - not heavy - and I felt OK. People ask me "aren't you feeling cold?" Well, IF, then I would wear more items, right? Don't understand the questions :) You look really lovely! Hope you have a great weekend!

Cold but not so cold usually perfectly capture the Winter weather in SF. I layer on and within an hour I peel off nearly all the layers. It does appear very cold when the sun is not up in the sky and smiling at us haha. Purely psychological I say although my weather here could be quite deceptive at times. A sunny day could mean freezing temps as well.
ReplyDeleteMuch as I don't own any puffer jackets, they look really warm and cozy. The perfect way to feel nice and toasty in during the winter. I should definitely invest in one.
Your boots are so cool and edgy Ivana. I love the addition of the opaque black tights. You look most beautiful darling.
The denim skirt is such a nice way to carry a summer trend into winter.
I cant stop staring at the river and how peaceful it looks. My birth sign is Pisces and I am drawn to water even though I can't swim shame on me.
Hope your week was great!

I like your denim skirt and I have similar one, also in this colour... I want to buy black, but the same long, I think this kind of denim skirt is very beautiful and comfy as well. A denim skirt, especially blue is rather sporty, and I'm all for sporty look. I like your way of wearnig it and I must say the long jacket is lovely and has the colour very becoming for you. I also use to wear beige clothes :-)
ReplyDeleteI love these ducks...
:)
The length of this denim skirt certainly makes it ideal for winter - long enough to stop you from freezing! Great choice with black opaque tights too :) More than anything I love your puffer jacket in this look; it seems really warm and cosy - perfect for wintery walks like this! :)

Sve pohvale :)

So pretty. I want your shoes ! I really love this place too :)
Stvarno me očarava u svim izdanjima :)
Well styled, Ivana. Great looking skirt and lace-up booties. I like the coat also. Even for a mostly cloudy day like in these pictures, you shine like the sun.
