FASHION ILLUSTRATION: CAROLINA HERRERA RESORT 2020 COLLECTION

Image
Hello there! Today I have a new fashion illustration to share with you. I couldn't resist illustrating this gorgeous yellow tulle dress from Carolina Herrera resort 2020 collection. It seemed worth the sacrifice of my free time. I mean this yellow dress is stuff dreams are made of! Plus, I liked the editorial background for this collection ( Vogue did a full coverage here ) so I included that in illustration as well.  The medium for this romantic fashion illustration is: oil pastels on paper.  I used a mixed media paper from brand  Strathmore  (not sponsored) and pastels from brand  Russian art brand Sonet  (not sponsored either). I actually got both the pastels and the paper as a gift. I already used this mixed media paper and pastels to illustrate Natalia Lialina (check out her blog  IN THE WRITER'S CLOSET  here) as well as a number of designer looks. Pastels are not the first thing that come to one mind when fashion illustration is concerned, ...

THE MOST COMFORTABLE HEELED BOOTS I OWN (OUTFIT PROPOSAL)

Image
Hello dears! How are you doing? Today I have a feminine but comfy outfit proposal to share with you. This look consists of a turtleneck plus skirt formula layered with a green tartan blazer and a pair of camel boots. As the title would imply, this pair of heeled camel boots is very comfortable. A pair of shoes that is both functional and stylish? What more could a gal wish for? I opt for these heeled camel boots whenever I want to be warm but still add some femininity to my outfits. It has gotten colder all of the sudden, there were even some snowfalls in the air yesterday (the snow didn't stick, though) here in Mostar. This is probably my last autumnal styling proposal of this year. I might wear this outfit in winter, but I will be sure to wear a coat over it. It's now too cold to rely just on blazers. BUNICA RECREATIONAL AREA NEAR MOSTAR (RIVER BUNA)  The location for these photographs is Bunica recreation area near Mostar. You guys know that I love Buna river, rig...

HEADBAND TREND FOR 2020 (COMFY NYE OUTFIT PROPOSAL)

Image
What to wear for NYE? This question might not be as existential and thought-provoking as the famous Hamlet question, but nevertheless for many of us right now: this is the question! Today I have a comfortable New Year Eve outfit proposal to share with you. If you're lacking inspiration for NYE, you can always turn to classics such as for example the LBD. Here you can see how I layered one of my little black dresses by wearing a red flared top under it and paired it with flat boots. If you plan to wait for NYE outdoors, an outfit like this one (plus a coat obviously), could work really well.  DRESSING UP A LITTLE BLACK DRESS WITH A STATEMENT HEADBAND AND NECKLACE  My proposal of today features one of 'hot' trends: a headband. I've had this particular headband for ages (proof here , here , here and here ). I decorated it myself by sewing the glittery bit to it by hand, so there is a DIY element for it. The necklace is another one of my creations. I made it when I ...

MY 10 FAV CROATIAN DESTINATIONS OF YEAR 2019

Image
As the title would imply, this list is highly subjective- that is why I used the personal pronoun in the title. I suppose that any destination list is somewhat subjective, but this one is especially so. My favourite destinations clearly implies that it is all about my personal preference. There are many amazing destinations in Croatia so pay in mind that this list is only about my experiences.  Half of the places on this lists are placed on island Hvar and all of them are in the region of Dalmatia, so clearly there is some nepotism in my choices. I admit to it without hesitation, for as I said, this is a personal list.  In 2019, I have spend a total of four months in Croatia. What were my happy places? What destinations I choose to return to? Today I'll share with you some of my favourite places in Croatia. Where relevant, the photographs are linked up with original posts, you may click them to see and read more. I typically do write something about places I visit...
