FASHION ILLUSTRATION AND OUTFIT OF THE DAY: AUTUMN STYLING

Happy December! The final month of the year 2020 is here. How do you feel about that?  How are you doing? Today I will share with you an illustrated autumn styling.  The medium for this fashion sketch is coloured pencils on paper and as you can see I illustrated one of my own outfits. I've been drawing a lot lately, as you will probably have a chance of seeing on this little digital space of mine, so stay posted for new art. It's getting colder so today I'm wearing all my winter gear again: the cozy knit beanie and the oversize scarf, a warm long coat and high boots. It's still Autumn but it's cold, so this could have been a winter styling as well. Scroll down to see the making of this fashion drawing and more details about the illustrated outfit.

THE STORY OF MY OUTFIT AND HOW I WORE IT BEFORE

I love coloured coats for Autumn and Winter, they are always fun to wear and are wonderful for infusing colour into ones wardrobe. This time I paired my magenta coat with winter accessories (as I did the last time I wore it!). Underneath my coat I wore a pretty princess pink dress with statement sleeves and a turtleneck. I always wear leggings (or tights) with dresses when it gets colder so that goes without saying. I finished the look with a burgundy bag. Nothing is new about this outfit, these are all items I've had for some time. You know, just having fun shopping my closet.

THE KNIT BEANIE- last worn here. THE MAGNENTA COAT- last worn here. THE PUFFED SLEEVED PINK DRESS - last worn here. THE WINTER PRINT TURTLENECK- worn here. THE BURGUNDY BAG- worn here. THE BROWN BOOTS- first worn here

These photographs were taken in front of Mostar's catholic cathedral. You can read more about this cathedral in this post. That would be all for today. I'll keep this post short and sweet.

As always, thank you for stopping by. Have a nice start of the week!

  9. This is actually my favourite of your fashion illustrations so far! The pose is very dynamic, especially with the movement of the scarf. The colours pop and it's just a very cool image.

It's bright and sunny here but cold - 6 degrees mid-day, brrrr!

  14. I love how you've captured the movement of the scarf in your artwork, it's a fabulous drawing!
The coat is a lovely colour, such a nice change from the ubiquitous greys and blacks everyone seem to embrace in the UK.
I have no problem with December - it's my birthday month although being in the highest restrictions in England I won't be spending it in my usual way. Oh well, maybe next year! xxx

Here in Portugal it has been a wonderful weather, 20 ºC, it doesn't even seem like we are in December !! I love your work that you do, these photo collages with your illustrations are perfect! I also love colorful coats!

  18. I'm loving this fashion illustration very much, especially how you captured the movement of that scarf, which is making it very dynamic.
Your "real life" outfit is gorgeous too. Nothing beats the Winter blues than wearing colour does! Your coat is just fabulous, and I love how your jumper's sleeves peek out from its three-quarter sleeves, adding yet another pattern and texture to your outfit! I hope your week is going well? xxx

  22. Hey dear Ivana,

I'm taking a look at the posts I missed.... actually I was coming back from another blog post where I told you that you should illustrate yourself for these daily tasks and I found this.... haha such a coincidence that our minds were connected.

Great result! I love both the outfit and how you took it to the paper with the tones, this is definitely a good option for autumn and I always say it is better to add some color to these cold seasons :D

The turtleneck seems lovely, ideal for these days where you want to stay cozy but without saying goodbye to the style!
