Potraži me u predgrađu....Search for me in the suburbs....

This post is long overdo. Actually these photographs were taken as far back as last Spring. I know, they've been in the archives for a while now. All the reason more to finally share them here. The location where these photographs were taken is Rodoch. If you want to see more photographs from this place, you can check out this recent post of mine.

Ova dvorišta puna neba i ptica                        These yards filled with sky and birds
uđu kao muzika stara                           like old music access a place
nekad duboko u nas                      somewhere deep in us
i tu zauvijek ostaju.                       and remain there forever
Tu ćeš sresti                              You will meet there
davno poznata lica               long known faces
jedan je kuštravi dječak              one boy with messy hair
uvijek u proljeće tu,                is always here in Spring
ti znaš zašto dolazi. *                     you know why he comes.

I will probably never get tired of wearing this midi skirt. This time I decided to pair it with a dress! I often wear dresses as tops. I think that one of the reasons I do it of practical nature. I own more dresses than tops. Do you ever wear skirts over dresses? What do you think about it? Speaking of this dress, it features embroidery I did myself. Do you like this embroidery trend? Have you ever tried doing embroidery?

This area is know as Varda. Its located about Rodoch. The view from there is quite stunning, wouldn't you agree? I'm always amazed at just how much beauty there is in the area surrounding Mostar city. During Spring, everything is so green. I love it. That would be all for today. Thank you for reading!

  9. It may be a year later but it's like you've come full circle since it's around the same time that you took these last year. Glad you shared them. Rodoch looks beautiful and the spring spirit is alive in these photos. And it's easy to see why you can't get enough of that pretty midi skirt. The style is so classic and versatile.

    1. it is not actually a view of Mostar...this area is located near Mostar. It is above Rodoch ( a sort of suburb of Mostar city).

  13. I swear you live in a beautiful place, Ivana. Yes, these pictures are from last Spring but gosh, you are surrounded by beautiful nature. I have never tried the whole dress as top trend but I'm also not very experimental with my wardrobe.

TIPS FOR A MORE SUSTAINABLE EASTER CELEBRATION

Happy Easter Monday everyone! Today I'll talk about how to have more sustainable Easter week celebration. I'll share some of my tips as well as my 'green' Easter day traditions. Before I get into sharing those tips, let me just say that traditional Easter customs are more likely to be environmentally conscious. So, tradition is a great way to look for inspiration. Ask your elders, relatives and friends about their Easter traditions, they can give you useful tips, advice and inspiration. Naturally, internet is also a great resource for environmentally friendly Easter. There are a lot of creative people out there that are constantly coming up with sustainable decor and recipes, so why not tap into that? Feel free to share your Easter traditions as well. A great thing about collecting green tips is that most of them can be applied to any festivity!
My Easter day 'green' ideas include: using natural egg dyes, using recycled Easter decor, not being wasteful with fo…

IS MOSTAR A GOOD EASTER DAY DESTINATION? PLUS A SPRING OUTFIT PROPOSAL

Luckily for me, Mostar is an excellent Easter day destination. You see, I had travel plans for this Easter weekend, but I caught a bad cold so I decided to stay in the city I'm currently based in. That's actually not a bad thing because (if you ask me) Mostar makes for a great Easter day destination. Naturally, I've would have loved to visit my family, but since that wasn't possible, I'm happy to be spending Easter in Mostar. I've already cleaned and decorated my home for Easter so I'm all set. I've also prepared an outfit proposal but more about that later on. First I'll talk a bit about Mostar. Why is Mostar such a great spring destination? I can think of a number of reasons, but from top of my head I would say wonderful climate, beautiful landmarks and interesting history. Mostar is gorgeous in spring time. With its seven rivers and a number of lovely parks, Mostar can feel like a city oasis.

HOW TO STYLE A NAVY SUIT FOR SPRING? OUTFIT PROPOSAL & TIPS

EN In my last post, I've wrote about sustainable ways to celebrate Easter and today I'll show you what I wore for Easter. Typically I like to wear dresses for Easter day, but this year I decided to suit up. You have already seen a part of my Easter outfit in my last post, mainly the white linen folklore shirt I bought a few years ago (from a nice Croatian lady who specializes in making traditional and folklore garments). I believe you know that I have a thing for traditional and folklore clothing. As for the rest of my Easter styling, I shopped my closet to pick up this navy blazer. I paired it with navy flares I originally bought to wear to work. Good thing that my personal style isn't a casual one, and I actually enjoy wearing business/ formal wear I buy for work. If you look closely, you'll see that the blazer and the pants are not the same shade of navy blue, but slightly different. This blazer isn't actually a part of a suit, but often I like to create my own…
