How to wear a leather jacket in a feminine way? Kako nositi kožnu jaknu na ženstven način?

EN Does it ever happen to you that you overthink things? I've been doing that a lot lately, so today I'm going to try to slow down my thinking process a bit. While I was trying to decide what painting ti post about today, an idea came to my mind- why not do a simple outfit post instead? For the record, I still enjoy outfit posts, it is just that something other thins take over. You don't seem to mind that my blog has taken a turn towards my personal art, so all is good. Today I'll show you an outfit that is my answer to the question: 'How to wear a leather jacket in a feminine way?'

However, let's get back to the topic of overthinking and worrying for a second. Why do we do it? Perhaps because it gives us a feeling that we're in control. Is it true? No, it's just an illusion. Overthinking doesn't solve anything. Often life just flies by and we realize that we didn't make the most out of what we had because we took it for granted. There is always something we can take advantage of to lift our spirits, something we can enjoy and feel grateful for. Be it a beautiful sunny day, a trusted book or a new opportunity of some sort. We should never take anything for granted. Every second is valuable. Every moment is unique.

Simple pleasures. Wearing an outfit that feels right at that moment. Wearing something we like.  If there is such a thing as comfort food, there has to be such a thing as  comfort clothing. Don't we all have at least one comfort clothing item in our wardrobe? Vintage leather jacket. A green dress that I can never get tired of paired with a sweater that has been one of the most worn items in my closet this winter. A nice mix of styles. A pair of pink heels with a box (it doesn't get more feminine than that, right?) paired with a leather jacket that used to be my husbands. He wore it before I was born. Funny, ha? Time flies....and maybe that is not such a tragedy. At least we're not bored, right?

No, natrag na temu brige i previše razmišljanja. Zašto to radimo?

Vrijeme leti i možda to i nije takva tragedija. Barem nam nije dosadno, zar ne?

  2. Overthinking is such an interesting thing to discuss, and I think I agree with your suggestion of it being a way of making us feel more 'in control'. Funnily enough, I think it actually has the opposite effect though! Anyway, I love seeing your personal style and the block-colour design of this dress is a lot of fun :) Have a wonderful week!!

  7. Hi Ivana! Personally I think that I "think too much" - it seems to me that I know that overthinking is stupid, because as you noticed - it doesn't solve any problem, but I caught myself that I do it sometimes, especially on the night. What about your outfit, I love your high heels, they make your legs look like supermodel's ones, really! :)
Hope you're having lovely evening, dear :)

  16. First, love that outfit. The leather jacket make the look pretty edgy and I loooove it. Your DH worn the jacket before you were born? There you see even fashion repeat itself. I'd have sworn that leather jacket is brand new. Overthinking....well been there, done that. Thinking carefully is OK and thinking carefully is the right thing to do, that take us in control, but overthinking is not. Just the contrary, by overthinking we start to worry, by overthinking we are no longer in control, it makes us vulnerable, wrong decisions are often the result, if you know what I mean.

  25. "How to wear a leather jacket in a feminine way?" - hey my dear: a leather jacket is not just for men. i think also women can wearing a jacket like this very easy - you proof it very well!!! i think the right choice as a pants to combo with this jacket is always a leather leggings. but if you wearing a skirt you take also the right choice.

BUT, i love those heels a lot, but i think they are not the right choice for this outfit. these heels are so unique and very, very feminin - like barbie´s shoes. black pumps would be great to this.

another highlight are your tights - gosh, they are so cool!

14 WAYS TO STYLE ONE BLUE DENIM SKIRT: SUSTAINABLE FASHION FILES

Sustainable fashion is such a hot topic right now, I wouldn't be surprised if it turned into a fashion revolution. More and more people are trying to minimize their carbon print by re-wearing their clothes and shopping their closets. One good way to build a functioning wardrobe you'll love to shop is to make sure you have a couple of essential items in it. These basic pieces can help you shop your closet more easily and become more sustainable in your fashion choices. A denim skirt is one such classical and essential item.  Today I'll show you ten ways to style a denim skirt. I had this particular denim skirt for a couple of years, it's by Croatian denim brand Amadeus (not sponsored) that I can recommend for its quality denim. For me this skirt is one of those items that are season-less and by that I mean those clothing items that can be worn in any season. If you're creative enough, you can figure out a way to wear most of your clothes in any season, but some ite…

HOW I GOT INSPIRED BY D&G AUTUMN/WINTER 2019/2020 COLLECTION? (PART 1)

Yesterday I finally took the the time to watch (and listen) to the Dolce & Gabbana Autumn/Winter 2019/2020 collection. The runaway show was organized in retro style and lasted about half and hour. Instead of music, it featured a British narrator who commented on the designs in the old style (that is how fashion shows used to be presented, narrated instead of accompanied by the music). Anyhow, I found the both the narration and the narrator charming. The fact that the narrator pointed out all the materials used was quite helpful. The models seemed to move quite quickly, but there were 127 looks displayed so the show took a quite some time to finish. It took me twice as long to study the photographs as to see the show. The trend analysis took even more time. However, that time was not spent in vain for I was finally inspired to ponder my autumn and winter outfits. What do you know? D&G Autumn/Winter collection gave me plenty of inspiration for the colder season ahead. I don'…

FASHION ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY: INSPIRED BY SUMMER STYLE

Time for another FASHION ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY! Today I'll share four fashion illustrations with you. The medium for all these four illustrations is coloured pencils on A4 regular printing paper.  The materials used weren't anything fancy, but I still wanted to share these. I drew two of these sketches without a specific reference. The outfits illustrated were a product of my imagination. However, the other two fashion illustrations were drawn with a reference. I was inspired by two fashion bloggers and I drew the summer outfits they were wearing. The illustrations are drawn in classical proportions, not elongated ones that I often use for fashion sketches. I do draw in different styles, sometimes the choice of style depends on the artistic effect I'm going to and sometimes just on  my mood (especially when I'm not doing anything particulary ambitious). Scroll down to see and read more!
