Off shoulder art: painting with make up 


You might not be next to the concept of mixed media. However, maybe you're new to the idea of mixed media art that includes make up. 


Some of you might wonder. What is painting with make up? Can you use make up to paint mixed media?  What it is like mixing pencil with make up to create art? Is painting with make up difficult? I wrote about it on my blog in the past, so I'll just copy paste my answer.

 Sure it is possible. You can paint with pretty much anything that leaves traces on paper. In fact, depending on the product you can both paint and draw with make up. It is something that can be done.  I've done it without ever googling it or reading about it, without seeing a tutorial or researching it.  I remember how natural it felt to make the first make up paintings and illustrations back in 2014 (here and here). To this day I haven't really researched this subject because it was so much fun figuring it out for myself. No need to follow my example, though. Internet is packed with ideas and tricks that can make our lives easier.



BACK TO MY ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATION AND POST




Off shoulder trend is still going strong. It seems like the fashion world can get enough of bare shoulders and I for one don't mind. In this illustrated outfit, I paired an off shoulder mint blouse with a blue skirt and I finished the look with pink heels. It seems like a lovely summer look to me. I'm not sure is this illustration is completed but I decided to share it anyway. Sometimes it is fun to see the process. The medium is pencil and make up (eyeshadow, foundation, lipstick, eye pencil) on paper.

Trend golih ramena se i dalje nastavlja, a čini se da modnom svijetu još nije dosta, što meni nimalo ne smeta. U ovoj oslikanoj kombninaciji, spojila sam bluzu golih ramena boje mente s plavom suknjom, a sve dovršila s rozim cipelama na petu. Čini mi se kao dobra odjevna kombinacija za ljeto.  Nisam sigurna je li ova ilustracija dovršena, ali svejedno je dijelim. Ponekad je zabavno vidjeti sam proces slikanja. Medij je olovka i šminka ( sjenilo, podloga, ruž, olovka za oči) na papiru.

    I liked it very much, dear Ivana! I loved the skirt and the shoes, since I am a shoe lover :) I would buy those heels :) True, bare shoulders are huge now. But I always say, all trends come back.     Oh never thought of using makeup as artist materials before, what a great idea! Is this the first time you've done this for your illustrations or just the first time I've noticed? haha!

    Može, može :) Vrlo rado bih i sama obukla tako nešto. To me podseti da bi mi lepo došle i tako neke roze cipelice :) Divna je ilustracija i kosa mi se posebno dopada što je roze i kako si joj crnom dala "živahnost" i dimenziju :)

VISIT GORANCI ( BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA) WITH IVANA!

Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! In this post, we shall once again explore Goranci, a small village that is around 700 meters above sea level.  Located on a nearby hill in immediate vicinity of Mostar, and surrounded by mountain ranges, it offers stunning views. 10 STYLE LESSONS LEARNED FROM MALENA/ MONICA BELLUCCI

With summer being in full spring, I caught myself thinking about iconic summer outfits. Do you know what came to my mind? Costumes/outfits worn by Monica Belluci when she played Malena Scordia in an iconic Italian movie set on Sicily.  The costumes for that movie were designed by an acclaimed Italian costume designer Maurizio Millenotti and he outdone himself! Seeing that Malena is a historical movie, Maurizio choose quite timeless outfits and cuts that will ever go out of style. That fact makes Malena movie the perfect place to look for inspiration! Moreover, I feel that Monica Belluci's personal style is quite similar to Malena's (i.e. to the style of the character she is playing). Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! Thank you for your lovely comments on my last  Goranci outfit & travel post .  Spring is here, but I'm back with another cold weather outfit, beanie and all. The arrival of Spring rarely means that it's time to ditch the coats altogether. Transitional fashion often entails layers and coats. I live in the Mediterranean region and if we're still wearing coats, I imagine you are as well. No need to forget about layering just because Spring is here. WIWT: RED FLORAL BLOUSE, OZZ PANTS AND STARTAS SNEAKERS

Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers. Today we'll do a simple outfit post. What I wore today? Well, I wore three outfits actually (you'll see the other two soon enough).  This is what I was wearing this morning while we were driving through Neretva canon on our way back to Mostar. A travelling outfit, if you will. Once again, I shopped my closet for this outfit. I mixed and matched two sets to create this outfit. The red floral blouse is from a vintage floral set (worn here ), the tea green pants are from Ozz brand set (previously worn as a part of a set here  here ) and the striped sneakers are from iconic Croatian brand Startas (worn previously here ).  It was a very comfortable outfit, perfect for travelling! Not that I put much thought into it. To be perfectly honest, this was the only clean pair of clothes I had after spending six days in a medical and spa hotel (where I accompanied my husband who was sent there by his doctor).
